Boko Haram Kills More Than 200 Nigerian Civilians Over Last 30 Days
February 26, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – On November 23, 2013, the U.S. Department of State belatedly got around to designating Nigeria’s two main Islamic terror groups Boko Haram and Ansaru as FTOs [see, Terrorist Designations of Boko Haram and Ansaru, U.S. Dept. of State].
Emboldened by this administration’s five years of “run up the white flag” response to the global jihad, rather than being chastened by Team Obama’s designation, Boko Haram has during the past month engaged in a particularly bloody uptick in its religious war against Nigerian civilians, especially children, mostly in Borno and Yobe states, the group’s stronghold areas.
In January upwards of 80 were killed in two attacks, one at an outdoor market place and the second at a neighboring village.
In mid February the group butchered over 100 predominantly Christian villagers in Izghe, Borno State and over the last two weeks it has killed at least 100 others including 43 school kids in Buni Yadi, Yobe State – some of the children burned, others, hacked to death.
Boko Haram’s leader, a crazed fanatic, Abubakar Shekau, has been forthright in stating that his organization’s actions are justified by the Shari’a and directed against secular schools in the country which he says are being used to “destroy” Islam, a concept from which the group derives its name, meaning, “Western or modern education is forbidden” because it is sinful.
In the below video Shekau is quoted as saying, “By the grace of Allah we will never abandon this jihad until death, our goal in this jihad is the establishment of an Islamic state…”[Read More]
Syria And Iran Cannot Be Trusted: Both Regimes Have A Long Record Of Cheating
By EMERSON VERMAAT
February 17, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org - “We’re now in the negotiation, and I think we’ve got to play that out and see whether or not they really do implement what they say they’re going to do. I’m skeptical. My suspicion is that Assad will try to protect some of his chemical weapons and that it will be very difficult for us to figure out where they all are. So yeah, we got the U.N. involved; we got teams there. Let’s try to see where that takes us.”
This quote is from Leon Panetta, former CIA Director and Defense Secretary who was interviewed by Foreign Polilcy last December. Panetta’s skeptism is justified. War criminals such as Bashar al-Assad cannot be trusted. It was only a few weeks ago that Defense Secretrary Chuck Hagel pointed out that the U.N.-backed plan to remove Syria’s chemical weapons was behind schedule. Damascus “had to take responsibility for fulfilling its commitment.” The U.S. says only around 4% of the chemical weapons declared by the Syrian government has been removed. Echoing Republican Senator John McCain, Panetta told Foreign Policy’s Ty McCormick: “I would have preferred an attack on President Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.”
Panetta was once a very liberal democrat and a staunch critic of the Bush administration. After he had become CIA Director, however, his foreign policy views became more realistic. The so-called “war on terror” still is a real war, and it is sometimes unavoidable to use unmanned drones to kill America’s mortal enemies in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia or Yemen, even if they are U.S. citizens. Thus, Panetta told Foreign Policy: “We are talking about a war here, my friend. It’s a war against the people who would attack this country again if they were given the chance. Now, you can go to war with F-16s and blow the hell out of them and everybody else, you can drop bombs on them, or you can use weapons that are a hell of a lot more precise and do this in a way that avoids a lot of collatoral damage. I don’t have a problem going after people that want to attack this country.” Nevertheless, Panetta is in favor of military intervention in Syria.
Former U.S. President George W. Bush was under the illusion that Muslim countries such as Iraq and backward Afghanistan would adopt the Western democratic system once the anti-Western rulers would have been driven out. Unfortunately, Islamic culture and religion are incompatible with Western democracy. That is why the Muslim Brotherhood won the elections in Egypt in June 2012 and had to be driven out by the military last year. (I never understood why U.S. President Barack Obama sided with the “democratically elected” Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi.) Hamas has been ruling over Gaza since it won the elections of 2006. Why did the Algerian army intervene in Algeria back in 1991? Because Muslim fundamentalists were about to win the elections. In Turkey, Kemal Atatürk tried to create a secular and pro-Western democratic state. But now Atatürk’s legacy is being undone by Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan and his Islamist and anti-Semitic Justice and Development Party. The Reagan administration accepted the fact that Turkey was ruled by military leaders back in 1982/83. Relations between the United States, Turkey and Israel were excellent.
And what about Iran? Iran was much better off under the totalitarian but pro-Western Shah than under the Islamists who have ruled the country since the fall of the Shah. Panetta believes that “we should engage with Iran.” ‘”We should try to pursue discussions to see whether or not we can limit what they’re are trying to do in terms of nuclear capability. But I also think we shouldn’t kid ourselves that it’s going to be easy, mainly because some of the things we want them to do – like not enriching nuclear fuel– are going to be difficult lines for them to cross.”
There is no need for nuclear enrichment if the intentions are strictly peaceful. “Without a reactor to be fuelled, Iran simply had no need for an enrichment program at all,” David Patrikarakos writes in his thorough study Nuclear Iran: The Birth of an Atomic State. “Even today, Busher will be fuelled by Russia. Iranian desires for ‘self-sufficiency’ notwithstanding, the huge political cost of its enrichment program (it stands at the center of global concerns, and it is the Iranian nuclear crisis) suggests desires that transcend a mere wish for nuclear fuel. Even more worrying is the choice of technology: an enrichment path to a bomb made, and makes, sense on a security level – it can be hidden underground, with centrifuge plants dispersed accross te country.”[Read More]
Cleta Mitchell, “Fairly Substantial” Due Diligence and Muslim Brotherhood Influence Peddling at the American Conservative UnionBy WILLIAM MAYER
February 18, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – Last week the Center for Security Policy [CSP, an influential DC based national security think tank run by former Assistant Secretary of Defense, Frank Gaffney] released a scathing report - The Case Against Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan - in which the organization leveled the serious accusation that the American Conservative Union [ACU] has been infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood operatives, specifically, Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan.
As a general proposition, the contention that the ACU has been ideologically compromised shouldn’t be surprising in the least because as presently constituted it’s at best a faux conservative organization, chaired by one of Washington’s top pro-amnesty lobbyists, Alberto Cardenas of Cardenas Partners, which plays both sides of the aisle.
“This will take some courage...There are some members who say: ‘You know what, I only have 5 percent Hispanics in my district. Why get burned on the issue politically? My answer to them is: ‘Well, why be in Congress? You're supposed to be our public servant. You're supposed to be courageous. You're supposed to take a firm line on issues that need your assistance as a public servant to pass the right laws...To do what's politically convenient and expedient is not deserving of the state or the country right now. We need leaders in Congress who can show some courage and can show some conviction.” [source, Todd Beaman, John Bachman, Al Cardenas: True Immigration Reform Takes 'Courage', NewsMax]
Next to Cardenas, Carl Chidlow is probably the senior ranking member of the firm:
“…Chidlow has spent the past 18 years working in Democratic politics and has developed and maintained extensive relationships with key staff and elected officials in the National party…Chidlow worked for…Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) for over two years…Mr. Chidlow joined the Presidential campaign of Massachusetts Senator John Kerry…also served as a campaign consultant to US Senator Patty Murray (D-Washington)…and Democratic Majority Leader Tom Daschle…” [source, Cardenas Partners, Team]
[Editor's note: Infiltration aside, we think a very good case can be made that the ACU has moved so far to the left that it's out of step with the grassroots Constitutionalist movement and really doesn't deserve the prestige of hosting major conservative conferences or conventions.]
In order to comprehend the enormity of CSP’s case against the ACU it must be realized that the matter takes place against a backdrop in which the government of the United States has been similarly compromised over a period of time spanned by many presidential administrations, gaining its first foot-hold during the Clinton years, picking up serious momentum post 9/11 and culminating with the Muslim Brotherhood friendly administration of Barack Hussein Obama.
National Security Professionals Challenge ACU on Muslim Brotherhood Influence Peddling
February 12, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – What follows is an in-depth investigation, conducted by Center For Security Policy, which alleges the most serious of charges against Mr. Grover Norquist and Mr. Suhail Khan, both senior members of the American Conservative Union [ACU], previously believed to have been organized around Constitutionalist principles.
This news source has previously written about these two individuals and feel no need to recapitulate our findings here. We therefore submit the following, extraordinarily well researched document prepared by Frank Gaffney’s prestigious national security think-tank, the Center for Security Policy, for your appraisal.
Washington, D.C.: In the wake of the ominous announcement last week by the State and Homeland Security Departments that they are no longer going to enforce statutory prohibitions on granting asylum to individuals who have provided “limited” material support to terrorists, two proponents of such policies have been called to account.
Anti-tax activist Grover Norquist and an individual with longstanding family and personal ties to the Muslim Brotherhood,Suhail Khan, are the subject of a letter [PDF] to leaders of the American Conservative Union (ACU) signed by ten influential national security practitioners. The signers include: former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, former Clinton Director of Central Intelligence R. James Woolsey, former Congressman Allen West, former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy, former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin and former Pentagon Inspector General Joseph Schmitz.
The joint letter [PDF] transmits a Statement of Facts that responds to, and challenges, representations made concerning Messrs. Norquist and Khan in an exculpatory memorandum to the ACU Board written in September 2011 by one of its members, attorney Cleta Mitchell. The ACU Board was moved on the basis of those representations to endorse Norquist and Khan, both of whom serve as members.
The Center for Security Policy facilitated the compilation of the forty-five pages listing eighty-seven rigorously documented facts and fifty-five endnotes. Its President, Frank J. Gaffney, Jr. was the subject of the Mitchell memo that claimed on the basis of “fairly substantial due diligence” to have found no basis for Mr. Gaffney’s longstanding charges that both Messrs. Norquist and Khan have enabled Muslim Brotherhood influence operations directed at the conservative movement and Republican Party.[Read More]
Iran’s Navy Rounds the Horn of Africa
February 11, 2014 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Though normally a topic of deadly serious concern, we turn today towards the Ayatollocracy’s latest bit of bravado – sending a “naval flotilla” to the Atlantic Ocean in order to strike fear in the heart of Satan America.
“The world has been taken aback by the entrance of the Iranian fleet of warships in the (Atlantic) Ocean and this is one of the blessings of the Islamic Revolution,” Commander of the Cyber Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff Brigadier General Behrouz Esbati said in the Northern city of Rasht on Monday.” [source, Commander: World Stunned by Iranian Warships Voyage Near US Maritime Borders, Fars]
Progress of the flotilla has been a wee bit slow though, 30 days to round the Horn of Africa, probably putting it on course to enter U.S. coastal waters sometime in April [barring headwinds of course] where its sheer presence will of course “strike fear in the heart of Satan America.”
The flotilla consists of two aged vessels identified by Fox News as, “the frigate Sabalan and Kharg, a supply ship capable of carrying helicopters…”
The Sabalan has seen some action during its long career, attacking unarmed oil tankers. The Sabalan’s prowess was sorely challenged when after the Iran-Iraq war, in 1988 the frigate was engaged by the U.S. Navy after it had fired on U.S. A-6 warplanes. Responding to the Iranian attack one of the sixties vintage Grumman twin engine jets dropped a laser guided bomb on the vessel, immediately disabling it.
The Sabalan was left dead in the water and required being ignominiously towed back to port.
So my fellow American’s prepare for the worst, the Iranian navy is on its way.[Read More]
Snapshot: Radical Islam Across The Globe
February 10, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – First we look at Senegal where AP claims that Muslims, apparently just going about their daily routine, are :imperiled by intolerant Christians.
Thousands of Muslims left Bangui in a massive convoy Friday that was jeered by crowds of Christians. One Muslim who fell off a truck was quickly killed by the mob. Muslim women who could not get on the trucks tried to hand their children to strangers aboard the vehicles. Whole neighborhoods are abandoned and Muslims who cannot leave are hiding inside mosques that have not already been set ablaze or destroyed by angry crowds. [source, AP ]
As is usually the case the propagandists at AP leave out a few details.
As the Jamaican Observer notes:
"...The violence against the Muslims is in reaction to abuses perpetrated by the Muslim Seleka rebels during their 10-month rule that began last March. Seleka fighters tied their victims together and threw them off bridges to drown or be eaten by crocodiles, according to witnesses. Now that Seleka's leader Michel Djotodia stepped down from the presidency last month and a precarious civilian interim government is in charge, it is the country's Muslim minority that is under assault…”
We assume that AP failing to even try to establish some background for their piece, information which would clarify the reason for the violence, was an oversight…
Moving on to the South West Pacific, it seems that Filipino Abu Sayyaf jihadists got a little taste of the lash over the last few days:
“Philippine marines killed at least 6 Muslim extremists and captured one of their jungle lairs in fighting in the south, military officials said Monday. Marines were clearing the captured Abu Sayyaf encampment of booby traps and searching for homemade bombs and rebel documents. Abu Sayyaf gunmen are still holding more than a dozen hostages in jungle-clad Jolo in Sulu province, including two European bird watchers who were kidnapped last year. Terror Associated ISNA Promoting Sketchy Islamic “Charity” Islamic Relief USA
By WILLIAM MAYER
February 6, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – The Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] is an organization which has been linked to the terrorist group HAMAS which was created by the Muslim Brotherhood to destroy Israel through Islamic jihad, as stated in its charter.
[Editor's note: another version of the translation of this document, the HAMAS Charter, which follows the above text closely was entered into evidence by federal prosecutors in the seminal terror finance case, U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, et al.]
"...The Islamic Resistance Movement is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood Chapter in Palestine...Israel will be established and will stay established until Islam nullifies it as it nullified what was before it...The Arab countries surrounding Israel are requested to open their borders for the Mujahidin of the Arab and Islamic countries so they can take their role and join their efforts with their Muslim brothers of Palestine..
Article 11: The Islamic Resistance Movement [firmly] believes that the land of Palestine is an Is- lamic Waqf [Trust] upon all Muslim genera- tions till the day of Resurrection. It is not right to give it up nor any part of it. Neither a single Arab state nor all the Arab states, neither a King nor a leader, nor all the kings or leaders, nor any organization-Palestinian or Arab-have such authority because the land of Palestine is an Islamic Trust upon all Muslim generations until the day of Resurrec- tion.
Article 13 ...As far as the ideology of the Islamic Resistance Movement is concerned, giving up any part of Palestine is like giving up part of its religion. The nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its religion, in that it educates its members, and they per- form Jihad to raise the banner of Allah over their nation.
Jihad for the Liberation of Palestine is Obligatory
Article 15: When an enemy occupies some of the Muslim lands, Jihad becomes obligatory for every Muslim. In the struggle against the Jewish occupation of Palestine, the banner of Jihad must be raised. That requires that Isamic education be passed to the masses locally, in the Arab [world] and in the Islamic [world], and that the spirit of Jihad-fighting and joining the ranks-must be broadcast among the Umma (Muslim community)..." Federal District Court Judge Jorge Solis in a 2009 post prosecution decision arising out of the Holy Land case, was very clear in this matter, stating:
"The government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with NAIT, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas," U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis said in the July 1, 2009, ruling.." Obama Stands By As Iraq Slips Away, Media Silent
February 4, 2014 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – In what was the most savage fighting during the Iraqi war - Operation Iraqi Freedom - from April through December 2004 American forces twice fought for control of the key al-Qaeda stronghold of Fallujah.
The first battle [Fallujah is in Anbar province] came as a result of a particularly grotesque display of violence. On March 31, 2004 a convoy of armored vehicles was attacked by local al-Qaeda forces resulting in the death of four contractors working under the employ of Blackwater USA [now Academi].
The contractor’s remains were then hung on a bridge spanning the Euphrates river, a public taunt intended to demonstrate that the American intervention in the country had come to naught.
Responding, in April, American Marines launched an attack on the city. However that effort ended in an imposed standoff, victory prevented by a restrictive "Rules of Engagement" placed upon U.S. military operations combined with an intense and coordinated media campaign led my America’s leftist media, with nearly every major newspaper daily screaming a front-page U.S. casualty count, the tragic loss of life dealt with as if it were a sporting event.
U.S. and world press had a field day decrying the “civilian” death toll as well as the bombing of mosques which everyone on the ground knew were widely used throughout the conflict to harbor al-Qaeda irregulars and weapons caches.
A hasty “ceasefire” was arranged and the Marines were withdrawn, having captured less than half of the city.
During the first week of November, the Marines and other Coalition Forces returned, this time with blood in their eyes, proceeding in short order to meatgrind their way through the city, fighting house-to-house. Though eventually subduing Fallujah the cost had been enormous, hundreds of casualties including over 100 who gave their lives. The re-taking of Fallujah proved to be the most costly battle over the duration of the war.[Read More]
