Obama Stroking Pro-Abort Dem Base in Approving Embryonic Stem Cell Test in Humans?

July 30, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - If one is to judge by actions, the decision by the FDA to allow Geron [a bio-pharma research company] to commence human testing of one of its treatments designed to be of use in healing spinal cord injuries, could be a crassly political move to shore up his support among his dispirited base as November 2 approaches.

According to critics, Geron's process hasn't even been proven in rat, let alone in tests on higher animals, "It's unfortunate that the FDA has released Geron from the safety hold on their embryonic stem cell trial," he said. "Even many pro-embryonic stem cell scientists have expressed reservations about Geron's trial, that it is not proven even in rats. The concern for many of us is that Geron is endangering patient's health and very lives, to make a political point and increase their stock price." [source, http://lifenews.com/bio3137.html]

Geron makes no profits as the Motley Fool notes, though it does have a considerable potential upside. This lack of product generated income is, along with a high cash burn rate, the reason why these stock tipsters suggested dumping it at the beginning of this year. [source, 3 Reasons to Sell Geron Today, http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2010/01/25/3-reasons-to-sell-geron-today.aspx]

Geron's stock price had been dropping since that warning...until the FDA made the announcement that the NRNOPC1 test would go forward. [source, http://www.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=NASDAQ:GERN]

Geron's president/CEO has made at least one key political donation, to RINO Congressman Michael Castle, whose seat has been targeted by conservatives because of his liberal voting record.

Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D, President, Chief Executive Officer andDirector, has according to the FEC, contributed to the campaign of Michael Castle [R, DE] self described as, "the House architect of the Congressional effort to expand federal stem cell research policy. He authored The Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, which has been vetoed twice by President Bush. [source, http://www.castle.house.gov/Issues/Issue/?IssueID=4449]

Okarma admits to having "engineered," the timing of its request for trial so as not to fall under the jurisdiction of the George W. Bush administration.

"Many people hypothesised the first time that the lifting of the hold was due to the Administration change. We have no information and no indication that that was the case. We engineered the timing, because our final submission was timed such that the 30-day window occurred after the inauguration of President Obama. That was our design, not really an Administration change. That was our timing. We did not want this to come up under the Bush Administration. We designed it." [source, Geron engineered stem cell application so Obama could announce approval, UK Times Online, http://timesonline.typepad.com/science/2010/02/geron-engineered-stem-cell-application-so-obama-could-approve-it.html]

Okarma has also urged Obama to, "appoint a commission on stem cell research to help the therapy fulfill its promise to save lives and reduce medical costs, Geron Corp. Chief Executive Officer Tom Okarma said...Okarma proposed the national commission as part of a group from the Biotechnology Industry Organization, a Washington-based industry trade association, he said yesterday in an interview. Okarma is a member of the health section of the association's board of directors.

Okarma has also made political contributions to the Biotechnology Industry Organization PAC, which in turn helps fund industry friendly legislators.

While none of this is improper, it does raise questions regarding this administration's apparent penchant for selecting winners and losers in today's high-stakes economy. It also demonstrates the need, at this critical point in his presidency, for Obama to send further accommodational signals to his hard left base.

Proposed California Legislation Could Interfere with Family Life

July 28, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Legislation [AB 465] introduced by California Assemblyman Joe Coto, (D), would likely draw parents into a partnership arrangement with the school to set up guidelines for students educational, social and emotional development.

The bill is sponsored by two groups; Parents Institute For Quality Education- PIQE and Families in Schools. Further, apparently the group that would direct a special program for parental involvement is the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund - MALDEF, a radical pressure group.

Do not be misled by the nice sounding desire to aid in advancing student performance. This is a direct intervention in family life not just involving Mexican students, but for all students and families.

Another bill, SB1317 authored by Mark Leno, (D-SF), Truancy; Parental Criminal Liability, which was incorrectly reported in the media as being SB 317, will require that schools, K-8, keep close records on attendance of all students. Should a student be deemed an habitual or chronic truant he/she and the parents will be subjected to a three tiered program of solution of the truancy problem(s) with the School Attendance Review Board - SARB.. Should it arrive at stage 3, the parents could be subjected to heavy fines or imprisonment for failure to cooperate with the school in requiring the student’s attendance.

This bill is sponsored by the office of Kamila Harris, S.F. District Attorney with the cooperation of the San Francisco Unified School District.

SB 1148, Gloria Romero, (D) Pupil Attendance, is a companion to the Leno bill. It sets the definition for what constitutes an habitually truant student identified as being absent at a minimum of 10% of the time. In Senate Appropriations Committee.

STATUS: This has passed the Senate and the Assembly Ed. Committees and is awaiting a hearing in the Appropriations Committee. What happens to the students when the parents are sent to jail? Now the parents will have a criminal record.

SB 1357, Darrell Steinberg, (D-Sacto), Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System. Creates a databased program of tracking truant students, called CALPADS. To be supported with federal funding.

This is a corollary to Leno’s bill regarding tracking truant students and placing a permanent marker of some sort on a student’s record. Records to be coordinated by the state. SB 1301, Joe Simitian, (D), Pupil Records.

I suggest that bills of this nature are designed to work in conjunction with the Workforce Investment Boards for future employment placements, which will increasingly be state controlled.

All of these bills require new funding attached which means they must get approval for their cost by the Senate and/or Assembly Appropriations Committees. These bills will most likely sit in committee until the budget get resolved and will then quickly move out of committee unless they get enough letters of opposition to keep them held in committee.

Action by Terror Watchdog Group - Americans Against Hate - Results in AMANA President Sofian Zakkout Being Removed from U.S. Commission on Civil Rights

July 27, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Acting on information provided to it by Joe Kaufman and Americans Against Hate (AAH), the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has severed relations with Sofian Zakkout, removing him from the organization while demanding that all references to the Civil Rights Commission be immediately stripped from Zakkout's website.

In an Emailed statement regarding the matter Mr. Kaufman said, "Sofian Abdelaziz Zakkout, was formerly the Vice President of the Hamas-associated Health Resource Center for Palestine [and that the] the American Muslim Association of North America, has used its website to promote terror-related organizations and to propagate heavily bigoted material aimed at Jews, Christians and homosexuals."

Kaufman added that what seemed to precipitate the Commission's action, "...was the July 25th posting of an anti-Semitic David Duke video on its site..."

Israeli Consul General Dayan To Appear on World Affairs Council of Orange County Panel with 911 Denier MPAC President Salam Al-Marayati?

July 28, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - On August 5, the World Affairs Council of Orange County is hosting a panel discussion - “The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and its Impact on Jewish/Muslim Relations."

Slated as speakers are Salam Al-Marayati, president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council [MPAC] and the Israeli Consul General Jacob Dayan.

MPAC has represented itself as being a moderate Muslim entity despite a long history of its leaders having made clearly divisive public statements.

For example as related by Middle East historian Daniel Pipes, former MPAC National Director Ahmed Younis, "...stated in July 2002, about the then-attorney general: "I am a person who believes that if Thomas Jefferson or Madison or the like were alive today, they would go to John Ashcroft's house and just shoot him." [source, http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2004/07/the-difference-between-cair-and-mpac]

As documented by Steven Emerson, current MPAC president Al-Marayati, in a radio statement [archived as part of a long bio on The Investigative Project, http://www.investigativeproject.org/profile/114] which was broadcast on September 11, 2001, suggested that Israel perpetrated the atrocity, ''If we're going to look at suspects, we should look to the groups that benefit the most from these kinds of incidents, and I think we should put the state of Israel on the suspect list because I think this diverts attention from what's happening in the Palestinian territories so that they can go on with their aggression and occupation and apartheid policies.''

As characterized by Dr. Pipes, MPAC serves the same goals as more in-your-face American Islamist groups, in this case contrasting the group against the discredited Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR] as to method of operation, "The two organizations can be compared to the PLO and Hamas. Their goals are roughly the same (the destruction of Israel) but the former says what's needed to gain Israeli or American concessions..." [source, principles… http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2004/07/the-difference-between-cair-and-mpac]

It would be foolish and harmful to the interests of Israel for Mr. Dayan, to lend undeserved credibility to MPAC and its president Al-Marayati, by appearing with him at this event. In doing so he would seem to countenance the organization's radical purpose and provide Al-Marayati a public forum in which to extend MPAC's agenda which would then be seen as having been endorsed by Mr. Dayan and by extension the state of Israel.

CAIR Strong Arms Electrolux in Minnesota

July 22, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR] an unindicted co-conspirator in America's largest terror financing prosecution [US vs. Holy Land Foundation] and an organization which Middle East historian Daniel Pipes has called "'moderate,' friends of terror," is once again engaging in a stealth jihad campaign, this time against the Electrolux plant located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A lawsuit was recently filed by two employees of the plant, alleging infringement of a claimed "religious right" to eat while on the production floor of the plant to break a Muslim fast.

Pushing the suit is the omnipresent CAIR, "CAIR-MN assisted Said with his EEOC complaint." [source, Minnesota Public Radio, http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2010/07/21/muslim-electrolux-complaints/]

The state is home to the largest population of Somali nationals living in the United States, a result of a State Department program intended to help legitimate political refugees.

In many cases the Somalis have refused to become acculturated to any real degree in their adopted country, having instead distinguished themselves in various labor disputes involving allegations of Islamophobia, invariably supported by American Islamist organizations and their attorneys.

The employees who brought the suit are so far unsatisfied with Electrolux's attempts at accommodation which seem to reasonably address the worker's concerns. No surprise there as CAIR's involvement is political in nature, intended to advance an agenda of making the United States more Shari'a compliant.

No Los Zetas Occupation of Local Ranches - Laredo Police Department

July 22, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Over the weekend the 'Net blogs were filled with rumors that the violent quasi-military Los Zetas drug gang had occupied two ranches in area of Laredo, Texas.

In an interview conducted today with Laredo Police PIO Joseph Baeza he officially denied the incident[s] had happened, "the long and short of it is that...no it did not happen."

Detective Baeza went on to characterize Laredo, a town of approximately 250,000 as a peaceful city with 6 murders over the last year, which seems to be well below other Texas cities and far below crime capitals such as Oakland, CA and Chicago, Ill. [source, Wiki stats, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_the_United_States#Homicide]

Baeza further stated that regarding Los Zetas, the police, "have arrested operatives in the past," but that activity now does not appear to be ramping up, having been, "significantly minimized over the years," after a period of increased activity from 2003-06.

He was concerned however with developments in Nuevo Laredo, a sister city of sorts on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande river. Baeza stated that Los Zetas was freely operating there, "the activity in Nuevo Laredo Mexico is increasing which has all of us on high alert."

Where Religion and Politics Embrace

July 26, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - "I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall not have other gods before me." Exodus 20:2-4.

With a foot in both worlds, PICO provides precisely the kind ofDemocrat party controlled links from society, to the faith-basedcommunity,and to the state, that are so scarce in contemporary American society.Faith in Action: Religion, Race and Democratic Organizing in America,Richard L. Wood, 2002.

The next time a politician or a priest tells you that politics andreligion shouldn't mix, tell him or her about Richard Wood's2002 book "Faith in Action: Religion, Race and Democratic Organizingin America." The book details the successful raising of communityorganizing for political power to the heights of religious fervor.

Though Wood is a proponent of community organizing, he writes a powerfulexpose of the goals, objectives and tactics of direct action programs.

Community organizing became a common catchphrase with the presidentialcampaign of Barack Obama and questionable voter registration activitiesconducted by a group called ACORN, the Association of CommunityOrganizations for Reform Now. Even so, little has been written aboutwhat this and similar groups actually do and how they organize.

Religion and politics have been mixing it up long before PresidentGeorge W. Bush's administration created funding for the Office ofFaith-Based Initiatives and certainly well before President Obama, onFebruary 5, 2009, expanded it to include neighborhood partnerships.

A good example of a community organizer is found in the popular 1957musical production "The Music Man," which tells the tale ofProfessor Harold Hill arriving in a small town. Unbeknownst to thetownsfolk, he is a musical instruments salesman. And he cons the entiretown into believing that the best way to keep their youngsters out oftrouble is by starting a boys' band, adding for emphasis, "Imean they need it right now." He gets the townspeople's hopesup and they buy his band instruments, even as they wonder how they aregoing to form a band when the would-be musicians can't even readmusic. They trust him so much that they believe him when he tells themthat they don't need practice; they just have to have the confidencethat they can succeed.

That's basically what a community organizer is. He plants dreams andhopes into the minds and hearts of selected communities and thenconvinces these people that their personal hopes and dreams are what theentire community needs. What the good citizens don't realize is thatthis community organizer's own priorities are always uppermost inhis mind. And these priorities always encompass more laws, taxes, legislation and government interference in private lives.

Just as Professor Hill sounded the cry for a boys' band in the Music Man, today'scommunity organizer would have you believe that what your town needs isaffordable housing. ("And I mean you need it right now!") Ormaybe it's health care that he's selling, telling you that youhave the right to demand it from the government right now. I'm sureyou can recall the slogans. "What do we need? Health care. When dowe need it? Now!"

In so doing, the organizer takes a thesis, creates an antithesis fromwhich oozes forth a synthesis. In other words, he takes the people asthey are, creates a yearning in them to strive for something that theymost likely will not be satisfied with in the long run, i.e., affordablehousing, (the antithesis) and the community ends up with a synthesis (adislike of officials and burdensome laws). Or, put another way, hevictimizes them, causing them to blame the government for what they nowview as their oppression.

There are four main federations of community organizing agencies. Two ofthem - DART, Direct Action and Research Trainingwww.thedartcenter.org; and ACORN, www.acorn.org - focus on secularand political organizing of the most marginalized people andneighborhoods. This includes the recent immigrant, the welfare recipientand the racial and ethnically victimized.

Gamaliel, www.gamaliel.org (named for a minor, rather shadowy figure in the Old Testament), and PICO, Pacific Institute for CommunityOrganizing, www.piconetwork.org, emphasize organizing within religiouscommunities and are often referred to as faith-based entities. Thesegroups tend to search out the lower to middle income faith-basedcitizens who are members of ethnic and racial minorities, recentimmigrants and those church members who are anxious to do the GoodSamaritan work that their ministers and pastors have been preachingabout for years.

It can be said that the direct-action folks soften up the politiciansand that the faith-based groups make the politicians feel ashamed thatthey are preventing the people from living the America-as-Utopia lifethat was presented to them.

All of these groups share a common base from the Saul Alinsky IndustrialAreas Foundation method of training for organizing communities. Alinskybegan in Chicago in the 1920's with the help of a Jesuit priest toorganize the "back of the Yards" neighborhoods aroundChicago's slaughterhouses. Their first success was in bullying thebanking industry to provide housing loans to the local residents who, basically, had little or no collateral to put up.

Jesuit priests John Baumann and Jerry Helfrich were two Alinsky-trainedorganizers. They came to Oakland, California, in 1972 and formed PICO.Baumann retired as PICO's director in December 2008. During thoseyears PICO grew to involve more than 50 organizations in the UnitedStates, Central America and Africa. Here are Fr. Baumann'spraise-filled words:

PICO's success points to the powerful role that faith communitiesplay in shaping our nation. Across the U.S., people from all varietiesof religious traditions are hungry to put their faith into action, andPICO has helped channel this energy into concrete wins for workingfamilies."http://www.piconetwork.org/news-media/news/archive?id=0413

PICO started out, according to Wood's book, relying strictly ontheir skills as community organizers to rouse up the neighborhoodresidents to demand change. They had only minor and scattered successuntil they began to realize that they were ignoring the very people whowould best respond to their call to be organized - the faithful,church-going community. And, after all, they were Catholic priests; theyhad a natural entry into the churches.

PICO set up its first local organized affiliate within St.Elizabeth's Parish in East Oakland in 1982. St. Elizabeth's is amostly Latino neighborhood parish of lower income and welfarerecipients.

To quote from Wood's book (pg 51):

"But when faith-based organizing is successful, many factorscontribute simultaneously to that success. Such factors include trainedleaders, astute strategy, professional staff organizing, the legitimacyaccorded by church affiliation and clear pastoral support, the culturalresources of church life and of American traditions...makes faith-basedorganizing unique."

It is somewhat easy to recognize a PICO affiliate at work in yourcommunity. Its name tends to reflect the title of its parentorganization, using words such as "community organizing" or"interfaith organizing" or "reform now."

East Oakland's local PICO affiliate is called COR, which stands forCommunities Organizing for Reform. This group tends to focus on localcommunity issues of affordable housing and workforce development in theschool setting. The official newspaper of the Catholic Diocese ofOakland continually reports on COR's activities within the parishesand general community.

Groups that operated in West Oakland and other parts of Alameda Countyare collectively referred to as OCO, or Oakland Community Organizations.OCO tends to work on organizing around statewide issues of education, health care and jobs while also working on the parish level. PICO alsopromotes charter schools.

Often, in tracking state legislation, I have seen PICO and CCISCO(Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting Communities Organizing) listed assupporters of health care bills or workforce development and educationbills right along with Planned Parenthood and the California CatholicConference.

Another of PICO's early pioneers is Jim Keddy. He was a student atthe Berkeley-based Graduate Theological Union when Fr. Baumann came togive a talk about PICO. He now is a PICO director based in Sacramento, working closely with the CCC.

PICO, like the other organizations, is a parish or fraternal membershiporganization. The fee for joining is anywhere from $200.00 to $1,000.00,depending upon the size of the group. However, the major portion oftheir funding comes from large donors, foundations, gifts and, especially, the annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development. This isa nationwide fundraising endeavor conducted annually. The CCHD, bothnationwide and locally, has been held up to close scrutiny for a fewyears now due, in part, to its funding of both ACORN and PICO.

In the adjoining county of Contra Costa, where CCISCO is based, theorganization periodically makes slight changes to its name, but theacronym stays the same.

CCISCO is very busy in Richmond, Concord and Antioch, cities with denseethnic and lower income neighborhoods. A young, Latina communityorganizer proudly stated to me recently that she was working within fourof the five Catholic churches in Concord. The pastor of Queen of AllSaints Church is so enamored of CCISCO's efforts that he hasincluded their logo on his parish letterhead and provided the young ladywith an office and a committee.

They have also captured the heart and soul of the Catholic Community ofImmaculate Heart Parish in Brentwood, where the pastor, formerly anEpiscopal priest and registered nurse, has openly embraced theirpresence, placing his signature on CCISCO letters, even though he knowsthat abortion and contraception is a main thrust of CCISCO's healthcare advocacy. The same is true for the Antioch parish of St. Ignatius.

So, what's wrong with all of this organizing of communities andparishes? Haven't we all, at some point, prayed that our churcheswould wake up to the need to address the state of politics and humanstruggles? Aren't we constantly reminded that we are a nation ofimmigrants and we should, like the Good Samaritan, help our neighbor whomay be, figuratively at least, lying alongside the road with no one tocome to his aid?

The answers to these questions can be seen in the following story. Irecently attended daily Mass at my parish, during which the Gospelreading was Matthew 12: 1-8. This is the passage about the Phariseescomplaining to Jesus because his disciples were breaking a Sabbath law.

Our pastor said, in his homily, that in the Old Testament many of thelaws had become too burdensome to follow. These laws were inflictingsuffering on the people. Jesus, on the other hand, had encouraged hisdisciples to go into the field and pull off the heads of wheat so thatthey would have more to eat - a clear violation of the law. In otherwords, as told by our pastor, Jesus favored setting aside laws that wereburdensome. In telling this story as he did, I believe our pastorendorsed - whether directly or tacitly - the violation ofcurrent laws that are equally burdensome, including immigration laws. While we're at, just for sake of argument: Aren't all laws, civil and religious, somewhat burdensome to those who do not wish tofollow them?Father continued with his sermon, saying Jesus came to preach love, notto support burdensome laws that were causing His people suffering. Whatdid it matter which side of the border these people of God came from;weren't God's laws, His new way of life, for all people?

This very nice priest, an admitted anchor baby, sees restraints onillegal immigrants as a sin. He openly advocates for amnesty, the soonerthe better. I asked him if he thought abortion couldn't also beconsidered a burdensome law on the faithful. He said of course abortionis wrong. I reminded him that when groups like PICO and CCISCO organizegroups of parishioners to travel to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. tolobby for health care they are, in fact, lobbying for abortion. They arelobbying for the very thing that our church declares immoral. At thatpoint, the good Father responded as any non-religious person might."Oh, so, what, we shouldn't have health care? You would denyhealth care to sick, poor people just because it has abortion init?"

He is not the only member of a religious organization who has utteredsuch words. A church spokesperson once told me that abortion is a givenin California. The people need health care and they need it now. If apatient chooses abortion, that's not the church's fault. And so,the church is selling out its soul for a few doses of medicine. It issymbolically placing health care on the high altar of worship. It is nolonger God who saves His people, but the almighty federal bureaucrat.

Many immigrants risk their lives and their health to come here to havethe good life, or so they believe. What happens is that they becomepawns in the hands of unscrupulous activists who lead them to the verybondage from which they tried to escape.

It's as if Professor Henry Hill were telling them that the answer totheir troubles can be found in new band uniforms and musicalinstruments. Only, in this case, it's the community organizersconvincing them that their salvation can be found not in God, but ingovernment.

Hadia Mubarak - Washpost Religion Blogger's Absurd Claim - "No religious basis for 911"

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - In another example of the press' efforts to sanitize Islam, removing any connection between it and terrorism, we find Hadia Mubarak's recent On Faith WashPost piece [source, No religious basis for 9/11, http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/panelists/hadia_mubarak/2010/07/no_religious_basis_for_911.html] .

In this writing Ms. Mubarak demonstrates that she, far from being a legitimate religious commentator, is a strident Islamist who has been provided by her sponsoring media organization with the equivalent of undeserved journalistic street-cred.

Mubarak comes by her radicalism honestly...

She was the first woman president of the Muslim Student's Association [source, MSA National website, http://www.msanational.org/about/advisors] widely reported as an arm of Egypt's terrorist Muslim Brotherhood. In 2006 she was on the national board of the Council on American Islamic Relations, CAIR, [source, CAIR National website, http://www.cair.com/Portals/0/pdf/2006_Annual_Report.pdf]. CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the nation's largest terror financing prosecution, U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation. The outcome of that prosecution resulted in the conviction of Ghassan Elashi, the founder of the Texas chapter of CAIR, and four other defendants on a total of 108 terror-related charges.

Ms. Mubarak still serves the MSA as an advisor [source, MSA National website]

Regarding the linkage between MSA and the Brotherhood, a 2004 Chicago Tribune article notes that, "While the U.S. Brotherhood was influential from its beginning--in 1963 it helped establish the Muslim Students Association, one of the first national Islamic groups in the U.S.--Elkadi thought the group could expand its reach." [source, Noreen S. Ahmed-Ullah, Sam Roe and Laurie Cohen, A Rare Look at the Secretive Muslim Brotherhood, Chicago Tribune, September 19, 2004, http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/watchdog/chi-0409190261sep19,0,4605917,full.story]

In Mubarak's piece she tries to establish a basis of support for a proposed mega-mosque [developed by imam Faisal Rauf, who refuses to condemn either Hamas or the Muslim Brotherhood and whose backers remain undisclosed] to be built next to New York's Ground Zero, 911 site.

With that in mind she makes the following claim:

"If one were to search through Islam's primary sources - the Quran and prophetic tradition (hadith) - and all the classical legal texts of Islamic jurists, one could only come to one conclusion: that 9/11 and all acts of terror that inflict violence on innocent people are a violation of Islam."

Reality however demands a far different conclusion, that elements of mainstream Islamic theology not only support, but endorse and promote extension of the Shari'a [Islamic law] and the establishment of Muslim dominion over all other religions by any means necessary. The primacy of this directive is reflected by the way in which the Qur'an honors Islamic warriors - mujahideen - who, when killed as a result of actions taken against unbelievers are promised eternal paradise in the next world.

This hardly constitutes breaking news to most Americans who can't avoid the constant presence in the news of atrocities proudly undertaken by Mubarak's co-religionists using Islamic theology as justification.

In Mubarak's whitewash of the truth, she publicly denies the Qur'an's numerous exhortations to extend, violently, the domain of the religion, despite the incontestability of their existence in any legitimate translation of the Qur'an [including the one distributed by CAIR]. One example should suffice to prove the point, "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. [source, Qur'an:9:29, http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/QURAN/9.htm]

Ms. Mubarak fails to explain why Osama bin-Laden, his second in command Ayman al-Zawahiri, all of the 911 conspirators and the unfortunately all too numerous number of terrorists who commit acts of war specifically use passages of the Qur'an as justification for their actions. It's not like they are creating falsehoods, inventing scriptural text that did not previously exist.

While Mubarak, for public consumption might deny that the 911 terrorists were acting in accord with the Qur'an, those carrying out this carnage apparently consider themselves exemplary Muslims. This assertion would be greeted warmly at Egypt's al-Azhar University, an institution which has been cranking out Islamic scholars for a thousand years. Along the way the institution served as the alma mater for such luminaries as Omar Abdel Rahman, the Blind Sheik [who was awarded a Doctorate in Islamic Jurisprudence] who is serving a life sentence for his role in the conspiracies surrounding the first bombing of the World Trade Center in NY.

Understanding Mubarak's methodology is easy; in her world the existence of these troubling passages constitute inconvenient impediments to a grander plan, so she denies that they exist. This is done of course to create a false picture of Islam and its history so that the effort by radical Muslims to slowly - incrementally - force the United States and Western culture to become Shari'a compliant is unhindered by the obvious questions raised by a fair reading of Islamic history.

It also explains why she champions imam Rauf's murkily funded mosque building program. Since her bio reads, "...doctoral student at Georgetown University's Islamic Studies department...Master's Degree in Contemporary Arab Studies..." one would hope she would be familiar with the historic Islamic practice of building mosques on sites where great Muslim military victories were realized. She should also be aware that building of such mosques on the sites of previously Christian and Jewish houses of worship has been a part of Islam for a very long time. For example the site where the first and second great Jewish temples were built in antiquity [the first raised by King David, dating back to the 10th century BC, 1,500 years before the birth of Mohammed] was later commandeered by Muslims as the site for the al-Aqsa mosque, which understandably remains a constant source of friction in present day Jerusalem.

Building a mosque on America's hallowed ground would serve the same purpose; if Ms. Mubarak is unaware of this historic baggage perhaps a check of her academic credentials might be in order.

Not a onetime event, Mubarak has a record of dissimulating in print, arguing in Freedom is Never out of Fashion, the lunatic position that wearing of the burqa or hijab is an affirmation of freedom, rather than what it obviously is, tangible proof of Islam's misogyny [source, http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/panelists/hadia_mubarak/2009/06/freedom_is_never_out_of_fashion.html]. One might note here that slaves, even supposedly acquiescent ones, are still slaves and that rather than empowering women, the constant Islamic ferment in the West over the alleged right to wear religious garments in all venues serves the greater intent of "integrating" Islamic religious law into the woof and weave of this society.

In other venues, documented on YouTube, we find Ms. Mubarak describing Israeli efforts to halt Hamas' incessant warfare against the Jews, invoking at an assembly, "a moment of silence" to "pray for the lives of Palestinian men, women and children who have been savagely massacred in the Gaza Strip..." [source, http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=hbmCAmBKAJE&feature=related]

At this same gathering Mubarak stressed that Muslims should take advantage of the American political system to assure that [we must assume] her Islamism is further extended, a technique fully in keeping with the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, who argue that America must be destroyed from within by devout Muslims.

"The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Process" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions..." [source, Prosecution exhibit GX3-85 entered into evidence at U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation, archived at PipeLineNews.org, https://www.pipelinenews.org/images/GX3-85.pdf]

While Ms. Mubarak has the undeniable right to her political viewpoint, she holds no consequent right to be granted official access to the WashPost's readership. We suggest she be replaced by a more forthright and responsible Muslim representative, not one clearly engaged in waging a very public stealth jihad. Her continued presence makes a laughing stock of whatever credibility the WashPost retains.

Wilders Calls on Muslims to Reject Qur'an, Announces International Freedom Alliance

July 22, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Geert Wilders recently wrote an op-ed in the NRC Handelsblad entitled, "Muslims free yourself and you can do anything." In it he reiterated that he had nothing against Muslims but that belief in the Qur'an and having Mohammed as a role model prevented Muslims from being free and as a result develop their societies. Wilders wrote that, "Without Islam Arabs, Iranians, Indians and Indonesians have an enormous potential" and criticized the religion for making Muslims "fatalistic." [source, http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/4452]

Wilders also announced that he is forming a new organization the Geert Wilders International Freedom Alliance (IFA). He plans to give speeches in the United States, Canada, Britain, France and Germany to garner support for the movement which aims to stop immigration from Islamic countries and ban Shari'a.

He described his movement as somewhere between traditional conservative and extreme right, which will publicize the dangers Islam poses to the Western world.

No Mosque At Ground Zero - New Video Ad Savages Imam Faisal's Cordoba Initiative

July 21, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - A powerful ad, sponsored by the Center for Security Policy [http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/index.xml] has hit YouTube in a big way, likely to guarantee baseless cries of Islamophobia and hate speech among America's Islamist fifth column.

The video concentrates on Islam's long tradition of building mosques on top of previously existing Christian and Jewish houses of worship, a symbol of triumphant victory for Muslim armies.

Examples mentioned are the building of the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem over Judaism's most holy site, the Temple Mount, the construction of a similar mosque on the site of St. Sophia Basilica when Istanbul was captured by the Moors and the building of the Cordoba mosque over a pre-existing Christian cathedral.

Point man in the 911 mosque building project is imam Faisal Rauf, whose media friendly demeanor as a "moderate" defies his inability to condemn Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood [which created Hamas] as terrorist organizations, with the Muslim Brotherhood also serving as the intellectual ancestor for most of today's Islamic terrorism.

With Rauf's fundraising apparently running into difficulties, such clear cut explanations of what seems to be his motivation can't be helpful to bringing his plan to fruition.

Resurgence of Anti-Semitism in Turkey and Amsterdam

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - "Allahu Akbar! Remember the battle of Khaybar, O Jews! The Army of Muhammad will return!" This is what crowds on board a Turkish ship bound for Gaza were shouting on May 31. The ship was part of a so-called "humanitarian flotilla" which failed to break Israeli naval blockade on Gaza. A Turkish man named Bülent Yildirim, an Islamist partner of Turkey's prime minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan, was also on board that Turkish ship. A Turkish American citizen recently wrote an open letter to Erdogan, claiming: "About a year ago, Bülent Yildirim delivered a jihadist speech in Gaza to tens of thousands of Hamas supporters, declaring Israel, the United States and England as 'terrorist countries.' Yildirim addressed the Hamas supporters as "the children of paradise.'"

What happened at Khaybar back in 628/29? Khaybar was rich and prosperous and it was there that a Jewish tribe which had been driven out of Medina by Muhammad, the anything but peaceful Muslim prophet, had found refuge. In 628, Muhammed decided to make war on those Jews and subsequently defeated them. One of the Jewish girls captured was 17-year old Safiyya whom Muhammed took for himself after killing her husband. "To take women from a defeated enemy and use them as slaves or concubines was already permitted," writes John Bagot Glubb in his biography on Muhammad. "The spoils of Khaybar (Kheibar) proved to be the richest which God had yet bestowed upon the believers," Glubb writes. The battle of Khaybar became a symbol of Muslim conquest and especially of the defeat of the Jews at the hands of the Muslims.

Today, Islamists and Muslim anti-Semites (Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, etc.) invoke the battle of Khaybar to justify their ferocious hatred of Israel and the Jews.

Anti-Semitism, Nazism and denying the Holocaust in Turkey

Anti-Semitism is on the rise in Turkey. Both the fascist "Grey Wolves," a powerful and extreme nationalist paramilitary organization, and extremist Muslims embrace anti-Semitic conspiracy theories such as those propounded by the notorious book "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" (in Turkish: "Siyon Liderlernin Protokolleri"). This obscure book claims there is a world-wide Jewish master conspiracy behind historical events. This originally Russian book was later translated into German and it was an integral part of Nazi propaganda between 1933 and 1945. The Turkish version of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" was published on the internet in 2004. Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" ("My Stuggle") has also been translated into Turkish. Among those who distributed and recommended Hitler's book were the Turkish "Grey Wolves." This book is also still rather popular in the Arab world, by the way.

"Mein Kampf" is banned in Germany, France and Holland, and rightly so. There was a major political row in Germany in 1995 when Turkish extremists (all of them were immigrants) were selling Hitler's infamous book on the occasion of the opening of a large Turkish mosque in the city of Mannheim.

In the 1930s and early 1940s, the military and political elite in Turkey as well as the Turkish immigrant community in Nazi-Germany largely sympathized with the Nazis and their party, a recent German study called "Die Türkei, die Juden und der Holocaust" ("Turkey, the Jews and the Holocaust") revealed. With the then Nazi capital of Berlin being home to the largest Turkish community in Europe, many Turks there even gave the typical Nazi salute. Many Turkish students and businessmen in Germany equally espoused the Nazi cause. In 1938 – the year of the infamous "Night of the Broken Glass" or "Kristallnacht" – the Turkish Chamber of Commerce ("Handelskammer") in Berlin issued a publication comparing Hitler to Atatürk: "Two great men, two heroes who played a comparable role in the history of two peoples."

Turkey was officially neutral during the Second World War, but the ruling elite remained largely pro-German. However, the Turks began to distance themselves more and more from Nazi Germany by 1943/44, when it became clear to them that the Nazis were losing the war. The Turks tried to rescue as many Turkish Jews as possible, especially in France and Italy.

Some influential Turkish anti-Semites fully embraced Nazism throughout the war. One of them was Cevat Rifat Atilhan, born in Constantinopel (Istanbul) in 1892. (He died in 1968.) Atilhan traveled to Nazi Germany as early as 1934. He was to meet Julius Streicher, the editor-in-chief of the notorious anti-Semitic weekly "Der Stürmer" ("The Stormtrooper"). Streicher published vitriolic articles dehumanizing the Jews, claiming, for example, that the Jews were drinking human blood. Back in Turkey, Atilhan began to publish his own Turkish version of "Der Stürmer," calling it "Milli Inkilap" ("National Revolution"). Its June 1, 1934, issue showed exactly the same anti-Semitic cartoon on its frontpage as the one that had previously appeared on "Der Stürmer's" frontpage.

Atilhan and "Milli Inkilap" were instrumental in instigating anti-Jewish pogroms in Thracia (Thrace) in July 1934 as a result of which between 10,000 to 15,000 Jews had to flee from the region. (Most of them fled to nearby Istanbul.)

It was two years after the Second World War that Atilhan, Sükrü Isdeger and Behçet Demirgil founded their own "Turkish Conservative Party" ("Türk Muhafazakar Partisi" or TMP). This initiative was lauded by Haj Amin Al-Husseini, the grandmufti of Jerusalem who also happened to be an ardent supporter of the Nazis during the war when he called on the Arabs to kill all the Jews. "Mili Inkilap" was the official party organ. In 1951 Atilhan and seventeen others founded another party, the "Islamic Democratic Party" ("Islam Demokrat Partisi" or IDP). It was the first postwar Islamic party in Turkey. The party was also aiming at "purifying the moral roots of Islam from Jewish fabrications." It was banned in 1952. (That same year Turkey joined the Western alliance of NATO and has been a member ever since.) Even after his death in 1968, Atilhan and his views are still amazingly popular among Islamic radicals.

Indeed, prejudices against Jews are very common in Turkey today, especially among the Islamists. They embrace all kinds of conspiracy theories and do not distinguish between Jews, zionism and Israel. It was in 1996 that Necmettin Erbakan, one of the most popular Islamists at the time, became the first Islamist prime minister of Turkey. In 1969, the same Erbakan had founded the Islamist movement "Milli Görüs" which has branches in Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands. Milli Görüs is very close to the Muslim Brotherhood and claims that "world zionism" and "American imperialism" are the main enemies of Islam. In August 2006, Milli Görüs publicly joined the ranks of the Holocaust deniers by referring to "the lie and legend according to which 6 million Jews have been killed." One of the most notorious Turkish Holocaust deniers is Adnan Oktar who writes under a pseudonym: Harun Yahya. Oktar's book "Soykirim Yalani" ("The Holocaust Lie") was recommended in "Milli Gazete," the official outlet of Milli Görüs. The book showed, the reviewer wrote, that Hitler conspired with the Zionists to allow the migration of Jews to Palestine and furthermore that those who died in the concentration camps died of typhus. Necmettin Erbakan and his Welfare or Refah Partisi (Party), also recommended the book. Copies of Oktar/Yahya's anti-Semitic "Yahudilik ve Masonluk" ("Jewry and Freemasonry") were sold at a major Turkish book fair in Berlin in April 2005. The author even asserts that Jews compare other people to animals. Yahya's books are also distributed in Holland. His claim that he has now distanced himself from previous anti-Semitic writings is not very credible. Recep Tayyib Erdogan, the current prime minister of Turkey, was a member of Milli Görüs and is still advancing its objectives. He and his "Justice and Development Party" (AKP) are now even alligning themselves with Iranian Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites such as Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. What Erdogan really wants is to replace Turkey's traditional secular "Kemalist" commitment to democracy by the Islamist model of an Islamic state. Indeed, Erdogan's pro-Iranian AKP is the successor party of Erbakan's Welfare Party.

Anti-Semitism in Amsterdam

Holland is a tolerant country. Throughout the ages those who were persecuted by totalitarian regimes found refuge in the so-called Low Countries. Not only persecuted Protestants in France – so-called Huguenots – but also many Portuguese Jews fled to Holland because they knew they would be safe there. There is no tradition of anti-Semitism in Holland. The most tolerant and liberal city is the Dutch capital of Amsterdam. Things changed in 1940, when the Nazis occupied Holland, and also sixty years later, after the turn of the millennium when Moroccan youths began to harass Jews.

During the five year long Nazi occupation of Holland – between May 1940 and May 1945 – the Nazis sent more than 100,000 Jews from Holland to the gas chambers in Poland. The deportations, though, did not start immediately. It took the Nazis two years to send the first Dutch Jews – Jews from Amsterdam, by the way – to Auschwitz. About 75 percent of all the Jews from Holland did not survive the war – an extremely high percentage (even higher than the percentages in France and Belgium). Among those who died in a Nazi concentration camp was a girl from Amsterdam whose name was Anne Frank. She and her parents left Nazi Germany as early as 1933 and settled in Amsterdam where they thought they would be safe from persecution.

After the brutal invasion of peaceful and neutral Holland in May 1940, Dutch collaborators assisted the German Nazi occupiers in many ways. It actually began in Amsterdam in February 1941 when paramilitary Dutch Nazi groups called the "WA" decided it was time to harass the local Jews. Amsterdam Jews were beaten up, molested and forcibly thrown out of streetcars.

After the war most of the surviving Jews felt relatively safe in Amsterdam, although a number of them emigrated to Israel. Those who stayed hoped that traditional Dutch "multiculturalism" and tolerance would protect them from harassment by anti-Semites. Never could they imagine that fifty to sixty years after the Holocaust they would again be subjected to harassment. Not by neo-Nazi fringe groups but by angry and aggressive young Muslim males, most of whom are second-generation immigrants from Morocco who for some reason regret that Hitler did not finish the job and killed "only" six million Jews. (Other Moroccan males, though, are fervent Holocaust deniers.)

"Dirty fucking Jew, all of you will be slaughtered by Allah!" ("Vuile kankerjood, Allah gaat jullie allemaal afslachten!""). This is how Moroccan youths addressed two Amsterdam orthodox Jews on Sabbath day as they were on their way to the synagogue. Dutch journalist Paul Andersson Toussaint even claims that today's anti-Semitism in Holland is "salonfähig" (socially acceptable). We are no longer talking about isolated incidents, it is much more widespread, notably among Muslim immigrants, and not just in Amsterdam.

One out five history teachers in four big cities in the Netherlands find it rather difficult to discuss the Holocaust and the so-called "Final Solution" in the class room. If they insist on raising this important theme, Muslim pupils invariably protest (This is also happening in Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Sweden and Norway, by the way.) Exactly 65 years after the Nazi occupation of Holland, there are now six Amsterdam city districts where Jews wearing a yarmulke or Jewish skullcap are being spit at, harassed, intimidated or even beaten up. Just like they were back in 1940/41. All these city districts are densely populated immigrant (Moroccan) neighborhoods.

Orthodox rabbi Raphael Evers lives in the fashionable South Amsterdam city district of Buitenveldert. His mother , 83-year old Bloeme Evers-Emden, barely survived Auschwitz, all her family members died in the Holocaust. Raphael Evers was born nine years after the war and fortunately he never suffered in a Nazi death camp. Nevertheless, he still occasionally wakes up after having had nightmares about Auschwitz. Evers recently said he now avoids walking in the streets of Amsterdam as much as possible (only 12 minutes per day). Just as it was at the time of the brutal Nazi occupation, Evers and other Amsterdam Jews are too scared now to leave their house. Young Moroccan males once lashed out against Evers, a nice, friendly and peaceful man, saying: "Hitler forgot (to kill) you!" ("Hitler is er eentje vergeten!"). Large parts of the city are no longer accessible to Jews, Evers says. He recently told the Amsterdam newspaper "De Telegraaf": "We Jews now feel we are no longer living our own country. It is as if a burglar entered your home." "This is my own city, and yet there are no-go areas."

Another Amsterdam Jew, Herman Loonstein, claims that even fashionable "Buitenveldert" is no longer safe for Jews. The doorbell of a house belonging to a Jewish family rang just before eleven a.m. When the husband opened the frontdoor he faced a group of young Moroccan males who threw eggs at him, shouting all kinds of anti-Semitic slogans. The family reported the incident to the police who lamely claimed that they could not do anything unless they were shown photographs of the perpetrators. "A lot of Jews now emigrate to Israel or Britain," Loonstein says. "Even in our own public transport system our children are not safe from harassment." (Back in 1941 Nazi collaborators also did not allow Amsterdam Jews to travel by streetcar any longer.)

"Jews in Amsterdam have had to resort to meeting in a 'hidden synagogue' after a series of anti-Semitic attacks by Moroccan youths on anyone whom they perceive to be Jewish," Beila Rabinowitz, who reads Dutch and who knows Amsterdam quite well, recently reported in Pipelinenews.

The Dutch weekly "Vrij Nederland" published a shocking story about this so-called "Sjoel West" (synagogue in Amsterdam West). Nine years ago, shortly after "9/11" that is, Muslim youths threw stones at synagogue visitors. When "Vrij Nederland" reporter Elma Drayer raised the issue with the Amsterdam police, a police spokesman told her not to overemphasize such incidents. "Mind you, they are already being stigmatized," he said referring not to the Jewish victims but to the Moroccan perpetrators. "We were not allowed to see the perpetrators as perpetrators," Drayer writes. "Even more absurd was the fact that Muslims were seen as the 'new Jews.'" Nine years later, little seems to have changed. The real victims are not the Jews but the Moroccan youths themselves. Victimization of the perpetrator or showing (too much) understanding for the perpetrators is often a lame excuse for failing to act. Understaffed police in West European countries and North America actually cannot cope with the manifold, huge and unprecedented problems of crime and culture clashes in multicultural societies.

Mass immigration from non-Western countries (especially from sub-Saharan, Muslim and violent Latin American societies) poses a clear and present danger to traditional Western culture, values, freedom and independence. A desperate German juvenile judge named Kirstin Heisig made shocking observations in multicultural Berlin. Her book, "Das Ende der Geduld" ("The End of Patience") will be published in a few months' time. The justice system and the police are just unable to cope with Arab and Turkish frequent offenders in Berlin, she says. What to do with a seventeen-year old boy who already committed 70 offenses? Or nine-year old kids who boast about the 40 robberies they committed?

This is one of the many reasons why Turkey should never be allowed to join the European Union. The Turks recently opened their borders to citizens of Syria, Jordan and Lebanon who no longer need a visa. This will only lead to a further increase of undesirable migration flows to Europe – via Turkey, that is.

A westernized Iranian woman living in Holland recently told a friend of mine: "You in Holland should take care. There are too many Muslims here. Do not underestimate this problem. Don't think that these Muslims don't pose any danger because they are in a minority position in society. Before the fall of the Shah radical Muslims in secular Iran were in a minority position, too. But in no time everything changed completely, a mass movement erupted from nowhere and suddenly everybody began to express support for Khomeini."

It was in Tsarist Russia back in 1917 that the communists were in a minority position, too. And so were the Nazis in Germany in January 1933. Yet, in both cases fanatical totalitarian minorities prevailed over the liberal, weak and indecisive majority.

Will Bay Area Media Continue to Ignore Communist Presence at Local Demonstrations?

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - While the San Francisco media is usually more than willing to cover local rallies and demonstrations, it is far more reluctant - bordering on phobic - to analyze and comment upon the key attribute most of these gatherings share in common...in your face leftist extremism.

A case in point, Walnut Creek, California where a little First Amendment experiment was staged today, a rally sponsored by supporters of Johannes Mehserle, the BART transportation policeman who was convicted two weeks ago of involuntary manslaughter in the January 1 shooting of Oakland resident, Oscar Grant, who had been resisting arrest.

Today's counter-demonstrators, supporters of Grant, were in heavy proportion self-identified Marxists. featuring some of the Bay Area hard left's most dedicated revolutionaries.

Freely circulated at this and similar events was a blizzard of written screeds, radical position papers and the like.

Typical was a broadsheet [one side in English, the other in Spanish] in support of the Revcom.us website, which touts, "This is the official website for Revolution newspaper, voice of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. We extend our endorsement to the site, bobavakian.net, for authentic audio recordings (and related promotional materials) of talks by the Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, Bob Avakian."

The Revcom document reads in part, "We live under a system of capitalism-imperialism, a system in which U.S. imperialism is the most monstrous, most oppressive superpower...a system driven by a relentless chase for profit, which brings horror upon horror, a nightmare seemingly without end, for the vast majority of humanity..."

From this indictment, the narrative continues, "...now IS the time to be WORKING FOR REVOLUTION - to be stepping up resistance while building a movement for revolution - to prepare for the time when it WILL be possible to go all out and seize power."

Another one of the groups present at this protest was International Answer, a Marxist group which is a mainstay at national demonstrations.

Please consider the following images as you view the rest of the media's coverage of this event.

Unindicted Co-Conspirator CAIR Claims Tea Party is Islamophobic

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - An article, first appearing on the neocommunist AlterNet website charges "Florida Tea Party To Host ‘Radical Islamophobe’ Who Said Muslims Shouldn’t Hold Political Office."

It is of course expected that the hard left would jump to support the baseless charges recently made by the NAACP, that the Tea Party movement is rife with racists.

Within Alternet's screed however is contained an additional critique, charging the Tea Party with Islamophobia.

What is mind bending about the charge is not any substance that it contains - of course that is entirely lacking - but that the allegation is made by the radical Muslim organization CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations.

CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in America's largest [and most successful] prosecution of terror funding, U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation. During this proceeding, the founder of the Texas chapter of CAIR, Ghassan Elashi and four other defendants were found guilty on all 107 charges of variously working to fund the Palestinian terrorist group HAMAS to the tune of $12 million.

According to the NEFA Foundation, a terror watchdog group:

"Arguably one of the most important outcomes of the case was that the FBI reevaluated its relationship with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), after significant evidence emerged during the trials about CAIR's links to the U.S. Hamas infrastructure. In an October 2008 letter to invitees to the Muslim Community Outreach Program, the Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Field Office announced that the meeting would be “postponed until further notice as a result of the planned participation by the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)." Then, in a March 2009 CNN interview, FBI spokesman John Miller noted that the FBI aims to avoid "formally constructed partnerships" with CAIR, and pointed out that "Our concerns relate to a number of distinct narrow issues specific to CAIR and its national leadership." And, responding to an inquiry from Senators Kyl, Schumer, and Coburn, the FBI has provided the most comprehensive explanation, to date, of its issues with CAIR. According to the letter, during the HLF trial, "evidence was introduced that demonstrated a relationship among CAIR, individual CAIR founders (including its current President Emeritus and its Executive Director) and the Palestine Committee. Evidence was also introduced that demonstrated a relationship between the Palestine Committee and HAMAS, which was designated as a terrorist organization in 1995. In light of that evidence the FBI has suspended all formal contacts between CAIR and the FBI. The FBI's decision to suspend formal contacts was not intended to reflect a wholesale judgment of the organization and its entire membership. Nevertheless, until we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS, the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner." In February 2010, Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich sent a letter to four members of Congress , in which he said, “trial transcripts…contain testimony and other evidence…introduced [at]…trial which demonstrated a relationship among CAIR, individual CAIR founders, and the Palestine Committee. Evidence was also introduced that demonstrated a relationship between the Palestine Committee and HAMAS, which was designated as a terrorist organization in 1995." [source, http://www.nefafoundation.org/hlfdocs.html]

It should be noted that this story was originally broken by Stephen Emerson's Investigative Project.

Thus we have an organization that has been thoroughly discredited - labeled by historian Daniel Pipes as being "terror friendly" - pointing the finger at a movement, the Tea Party, which has distinguished itself for its inclusiveness, absence of racism and peaceful activism.

In normal times developments such as this would be laughable, however in the current state of affairs it's only another example of the unholy alliance between the neocommunist left and the stealth jihadists.

Walnut Creek, California Mehserle Support Rally Draws Fire

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - A demonstration is scheduled to be held today between 2 and 5 p.m. in Walnut Creek, California, a liberal San Francisco 'burb.

The gathering is intended as a show of support for Johannes Mehserle, the BART policeman recently found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Oscar Grant, a young black man. It will take place adjacent the city's courthouse, which is located at 650 Ygnacio Valley Road.

Though there has been no evidence that the rally organizers intend anything other than a show of support for the police, the lefty blogosphere is already rife with condemnation and hints of violence.

Often absent in reportage regarding Mehserle is mention that Grant was a two-time convicted felon, "Horowitch said he met Grant, who served two short state prison terms for various felonies, when both men were incarcerated in the Alameda County Jail in Dublin "a few years ago." [source KTVU, http://www.ktvu.com/news/19523065/detail.html].

While no one would suggest that a previous criminal record legitimizes official violence, understanding that Grant was not just some hapless young black kid unschooled in the criminal world seems a reasonable aspect in assessing the Mehserle verdict.

How Bill Are Really Passed in the California State Legislature

July 19, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - The Contra Costa Times, a member of San Francisco's "Bay Area News Group" - BANG, has now completed a two part series entitled: "How Bills are really passed." or "How Our Laws in California Are Really Made." It is a very informative series and I would encourage you to read it on line.

It would appear to be an expose of the somewhat incestuous relationship between legislators and lobbyists. Or, as the article refers to lobbyists, "sponsors" of legislation.

The article details how anywhere from 30%-40% percent of bills are actually developed, written and promoted by special interests with the legislator's role being only one of accommodating the lobbyists by lending their name to a bill and speaking for it with lobbyist prepared statements, in session. The Times article focused only on private business and industry type groups.

An amusing sidelight is that the Newspaper Publishers Association is one of the "sponsors" of a bill on which we have been reporting. Senator Leland Yee's, SB 438, Charter Schools: Freedom of Speech and of the Press. The bill has little to do with freedom or speech and everything to do with promoting the homosexual agenda in the Charter Schools.

That set me to examining 138 of the bills we have been tracking in the area of education, health and workforce development. Forty of the bills are sponsored by non-profit, community organizer type agencies. I am working on an article which I hope to publish soon detailing the close association of community organizing agencies, the politicians and the churches with legislation as the ties that bind. I am thinking that the title should be, Community Organizing: Where politics and Religion embrace.

Under the guise of guaranteeing to students a constitutionally protected Right of speech this bill sets up criterion for when and where speech rights can be exercised on the Charter School Campus as an diversity (sex, gender, religious, racial equality) issue and sets the school personnel as the authority over the exercise of this Right.

One of the areas of special interest in the State House not mentioned in the article is the use, by a legislator, of his or her position to enhance and expand their own area of special interest and or former business or profession. Senator Leland Yee, (D-SF) a psychiatrist in his former life, is one of those constantly promoting more mental health counselors in the schools.

Senator Mark Leno, a San Francisco Democrat and LGBT activist, has a bill, SB 543, Minors: Consent to Mental Health Treatment. This bill's special interest groups are a little more cleverly listed. The National Association of Social Workers (a lobby), the Gay-Straight Alliance and Equality are listed as sources. That means that they provided all the so-called facts and figures.

This bill would delete the requirement for parental consent for minors, 12 and up, to receive drop-in mental health treatment. According to these groups "parental consent for mental health services can create a barrier, especially in prevention and early intervention programs where the youth may not be experiencing serious physical or mental harm." The supporters go on to argue that "This barrier is especially harmful to certain populations of youth including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth. All of which means that your child or grandchild is be able to leave the classroom for drop-in counseling at the local Gay/Lesbian center in order to help them identify their sexuality. The latest phrase is "bi-sexual curious."

I also just noticed that one of the supporters is listed as State Board of Equalization District one Chairwoman Betty T. Yee, (D). She is listed online as having a degree in Social Work. Is it possible that she is related to Leland Yee, Psychiatrist? One of the authorized counselors is a board certified psychiatrist as well as clinical social workers.

This is the type of bill that Leland Yee would ordinarily carry, but perhaps it could prove embarrassing to his career if it was learned that a family member would benefit from his sponsorship of this bill. The answer, get your seat mate to author it.

Yee helps Leno get favored status in Charter Schools with his gay/straight alliance promotion and Leno helps Yee get more psychiatrists into association with schools.Who says legislators don't work hard?

Leno's bill, SB 543 succeeded in passing 4 committees and is on the Assembly floor. It has been held in the inactive file due to concerns over the costs. When the next budget is settled this bill may go quickly to the Governor. It is up to you to see that it dies on that floor. Contact your Assembly Member.

SB 438 by Leland Yee has gone through 5 committee hearings and is awaiting a vote on the Assembly floor. It has received support from both Democrats and Republicans because they are afraid to turn down anything even remotely resembling a freedom of speech and press right. Contact your Assembly member

Dem Voters Charge Obama Campaign with Widespread Fraud

July 12, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - In a breath of much needed fresh air, Democrat voters have, through a series of YouTube videos, charged that the 2008 Obama campaign gamed the caucus system in order to fraudulently install the then Senator as the Democrat nominee.

Those appearing in the video represent all age groups and many different ethnicities including African Americans and Hispanics. All relate a common theme, that thuggish Dem operatives shouted down, threatened and generally intimidated non-Obama voters.

A number of those participating in the Texas caucus told of an overheard conversation between three women and a man who were apparently plotting to stuff the caucus ballot process for Obama.

The back story here is that though the information and video interviews have been made available to all broadcast and print media, only Fox News has chosen to go public with the information and that appears to have been in limited form.

Uganda - Suspected Muslim Terrorists Attack World Cup Site, Kill 64

July 12, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - Islamic terrorists apparently connected to Somalia's Al-Shabaab conducted a series of bombings in Uganda today.

The explosions centered on two bars frequented by World Cup revelers.

The announced death toll so far is 64, with many wounded.

According to a report by the UK Telegraph, a severed head of a Somali was found at the scene of one of the bombings, indicating that he might have been a suicide bomber and the obvious links therefore to the al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab. [source, Al-Shabaab Islamists suspected in deadly Ugandan World Cup bombings, UK Telegraph, July 12, 2010, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/uganda/7885111/Al-Shabaab-Islamists-suspected-in-deadly-Ugandan-World-Cup-bombings.html]

Al-Shabaab [Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen, the Youth Warrior Movement] is an fundamentalist Islamic terrorist organization, devoted to imposing Shari'a throughout Somalia, and now it appears greater Africa.

The group controls a substantial portion of Somalia including most of the Southern provinces and a portion of Mogadishu, its capital.

There is a domestic angle to this story in that the FBI has for several years been investigating circumstances under which at least 20 Somali-Americans have returned to their homeland to engage in jihad.

The majority of these men came from the Minneapolis area noted for its high concentration of Somalis, who had been declared political refugees and brought to the U.S. under a State Department directive.

U.S. Command Links Afghan Taliban with Pakistan

July 12, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - The ISAF command in Afghanistan is increasingly linking that country's Taliban with Pakistan [and al-Qaeda], the effect of which might de-couple efforts, supported by team Obama, especially at the State Department, to legitimize the terrorist Islamic fundamentalist group for purposes of including it in Afghan's future system of governance.

A September 11 press release from ISAF reads:

"An Afghan and international security force killed several insurgents and detained two suspected insurgents in Ghazni province yesterday while pursuing a Taliban commander in direct contact with Taliban leadership in Pakistan and associated with Al Qaeda and Commander Nazir Group." [source, http://www.isaf.nato.int/article/isaf-releases/july-11-isaf-operations-in-ghazni-kandahar-provinces.html]

The release further notes that the Taliban is working with the Haqqani network, a powerful al-Qaeda linked Muslim group operating in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, "The group is known for assassinations and intimidation operations against civilians and operates with the Haqqani network in attacks against international forces."

Team Obama is fully wedded to the myth that the Taliban can somehow be defanged and turned into a legitimate political entity.

Chief public spokesman for this view is Secty. State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, who recently said that the U.S. will continue to stand with the Karzai government and Afghanistan while conducting talks with the Taliban about reconciliation, "Clinton has assured Hamid Karzai, the Afghan president, that the US will remain committed to his country's security and reconstruction even after American troops have departed...Karzai was in the US on a visit aimed at improving ties with the administration of Barack Obama, his US counterpart. He and his delegation were attending a series of meetings on Tuesday at the US state department as they push a plan for reconciliation with Taliban fighters." [source, U.S. Committed to Afghan Security, Al-Jazeera, May, 11, 2010, http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia/2010/05/201051132016505714.html]

It is widely believed that the Karzai government, fearing abandonment by Obama, has opened channels to the Taliban in a calculated move to hedge bets if the U.S. begins its intended withdrawal next summer.

What effect yesterday's ISAF announcement will have on business as usual at the WH remains unclear.

California Legislative Update - July, 2010 - Abortion and Community Organizing

July 9, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - Recently I had the opportunity to interview a local, young, Latina Community Organizer who is working within a Catholic Parish in the Oakland Diocese. The Pastor with whom she is working is so enamored of this group, CCISCO, (Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting Community of Organizing) that he has placed their logo on his parish letterhead stationery and provided this woman with an office and committee within the parish. Parish committees are referred to as Local Organizing Committees - LOC. The committee at this particular church is an all Latino committee “because we can’t get anybody else to join” she said. The Chancery takes no position on the development of these groups within the parish and, therefore, within the diocese.

The young woman stated that she is working with 4 of the 5 Catholic parishes in Concord. CCISCO is also working with other Contra Costa based Denominations and local legislators as well. Outside of Contra Costa County, in Alameda County, other community organizing groups are active within churches. Community of Renewal - COR - is one of these groups.

Depending upon the size of the Parish. Each provides a donation to CCISCO anywhere from $200.00 to $1,000.00 for the privilege of working with CCISCO. This is standard. Community organizing groups do not volunteer their services. They use local residents and parish members as volunteer protestors for hidden agendas. They also engage in verbal virtuosity, as Thomas Sowell says by substituting kind, compassionate words and phrases for reality, i.e. undocumented instead of illegal.

This young woman proudly informed us that only the previous week she had taken a busload of parish school students to Sacramento where they assembled at the Catholic Cathedral prior to going off to lobby the legislators for health Care and Immigration issues. http://.ccisco.org.

During our interview the Community Organizer talked about CCISCO’s work in the area of immigration reform. They focus on the “undocumented” immigrant, the one who is not eligible, so she said, for a social security number and, therefore, a decent paying job. She mentioned working with the City of Concord in the hopes of finding employment for this group of undocumented (illegal) residents in the building trade area particularly in the town development of the former military base. She stated very firmly that due to a person’s status as an undocumented, that person is never able to become a naturalized citizen and, therefore, never able to get a decent job. That is why, in reference, she was working to get recognition and citizenship for this group of people.

[note: Diocesan Social Justice Committees and the state office of Bishops, in Sacramento are constantly working to produce a change in the immigration laws allowing illegals to obtain almost instant legal status. This is referred to in legislation as The Dream Act.]

I checked with the United States Customs and Immigration Office in San Francisco regarding her claim. It is not quite accurate. I make no claim to being well informed about immigration laws. but, according to a USCIS representative, there are ways for anyone reaching the age of 18 years, to begin application for naturalization. Few of them requiring deportation of the individual or his/her illegally established parents.

It has been pointed out in previous legislative reports that Planned Parenthood and PICO have often been listed along with the California Catholic Conference and or Catholic Charities, in support of legislation. Also, in an earlier SOT we reported on a Parish Nurse’s activities in an Antioch, Ca. Parish in which she admitted that she referred young people to Planned Parenthood for reproductive services. She didn’t mention working with Birthright or Pregnancy Crisis Centers.

An article in the most recent Catholic Voice, the official publication for the Oakland Diocese, reported on a South Alameda County faith-based organization entitled COR and how it is working to help youth. The article also quoted a community organizer with a group called “Youth Up-rising.” Checking this group online shows that they connect youth to Planned Parenthood’s clinics for abortions and contraceptives.

So, we have the situation of the Bishop stating his pro life concerns while the parishes are, at the same time, coordinating their efforts with groups who promote abortion and contraception to the youth of the parishes. And, don’t forget the dues that these parishes are paying for the “privilege” of working with these groups.

In addition, while researching this article I came across a community organizing group in the Monterey area referred to as COPA - Communities organizing for (relational) Power in Action. They are also working in Catholic and Protestant parishes and are planning a meeting with Monterey’s Bishop Garcia, on June 20. Researching this group online brought me to a Maryland based site called CASA de Maryland, located in the Washington, D.C. suburbs, which lists COPA as one of its action item committees. CASA is an affiliate of La Raza which also works with Planned Parenthood. So an organization headquartered in the nation’s capitol masquerades as a local, social justice type ministry on the California shores.

SB 438 by Sen. Leland Yee, (SF-Dem) is entitled Charter Schools: Freedom of Speech and of the Press. It has sailed right through 6 Senate Committee hearings obtaining the votes of Republicans and is now passed out of its second Assembly committee hearing. It is on its way to the floor and then to the Governor.

This bill has nothing to do with freedom of speech or anything else. It has to do with clamping controls just a little tighter on Charter Schools. The Charter School Assn has opposed it. Another bill, by Assemblywoman Brownley placing restrictions on Charter Schools has been withdrawn due to lack of votes. I suspect that the reason for its withdrawal is that SB 438 is moving ahead and will eventually obtain the same results.

Our office received a phone call from recently elected Assemblyman Chris Norby regarding our position of opposition on SB 438. He said that since pro life people fight so strongly for our free speech rights we shouldn’t be opposing this bill. What he doesn’t understand is that this bill has been cleverly devised to make it appear that it is a freedom of speech issue when, in fact, it is not.

Charter Schools have been created by state legislation as an alternative schooling for parents who are dissatisfied with the public school system. They are referred to as voluntarily chartered by like minded groups with their own local official and parental controls. Even many private schools and Catholic schools have applied to become Charter schools in order to obtain the tax funds needed to survive.

It has never been the intention of the legislature to leave these schools alone to prosper in competition with the regular public schools. The legislature has been slowly writing legislation that is drawing these schools into an ever tighter state control from which, because of the funding, they will never leave. Even President Obama is now suggesting that Charter Schools are an answer to the educational dilemma.

Legislators like Asm Norby do not look beyond the nice words on the page. He sees Freedom of speech and

thinks, okay that’s a Republican Principle, I should vote for that. He fails to understand that wiser and craftier legislators than he have learned how to use language to dissemble. He can tell his constituents that he voted for freedom of speech when, in fact, he has voted for restriction of conservative speech on Charter School campuses.

You can still stop this bill by contacting your assembly member and urging a “NO” vote on SB 438. Most likely we will ultimately have to direct our urgings to the Governor because of the Democrat majority in the legislature.

President Obama has, during a Congressional recess, appointed Donald Berwick, MD, as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The National Partnership for Women and Families’ Campaign for Better Care is just delighted that Obama has snubbed the proper political process of Congressional approval in order to install someone who believes in rationing health care as a means of re-distributing the wealth. He seems to also be enamored of the British Health System.

Didn’t the President promise that there would be no rationing in health care?

Irish Firm Indicted For Exporting Fighter Parts to Iran

July 9, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - The DOJ has announced that a DC grand jury, "has charged Mac Aviation Group, an Irish trading company, and its officers Thomas and Sean McGuinn of Sligo, Ireland, in a superseding indictment with purchasing F-5 fighter aircraft parts, helicopter engines and other aircraft components from U.S. firms and illegally exporting them to Iran." [source, DOJ,http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2010/July/10-nsd-783.html]

The indictment, spanning 27 counts, including conspiracy and violating the IEEPA [International Emergency Economic Powers Act], Iranian Transactions Regulations and the Arms Export Control Act.

The government's action stems from a Sept. 17, 2008 finding by Treasury designating several Iranian companies as fronts created for the purpose of proliferating weapons of mass destruction

Border Alert - Hezbollah Support Structure Broken Up By Mexican Authorities

July 7, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - Demonstrating the necessity of sealing the United States' Southern border is news reported by the Kuwait based al-Sayassah newspaper, detailing a successful move by Mexican security officials to break up a sophisticated Hezbollah support network operating out of the troubled country.

The plot was led by Jameel Nasr, a frequent visitor to Lebanon, who was arrested at his residence in Tijuana. [source, Jack Khoury, Mexico thwarts Hezbollah bid to set up South American network, Haaretz, July 7, 1010, http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/mexico-thwarts-hezbollah-bid-to-set-up-south-american-network-1.300360]

U.S. based national security researchers have long noted the increasing presence of Iran's proxy army Hezbollah in Latin and South America, especially in Hugo Chavez' Venezuela.

In one of many articles appearing about this matter on these pages, in April we noted:

"According to a just released DOD report made available to Congress, the al-Quds force, the elite core of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, has markedly strengthened its position in the Venezuelan stronghold of dictator Hugo Chavez. Al-Quds has been deeply involved in Islamic terrorism for decades including the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut and the 1996 bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, which was home to many American defense workers in the region." [source, Pentagon Study Sounds Alarm - Iranian Al-Quds Force Presence in Venezuela Increasing, PipeLineNews.org, April 21, 2010]

Earlier this year Representative Sue Myrick [R, NC] warned of the increasing relationship between Hugo Chavez and Iran.

"US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) today released a video about the need for the State Department to designate Venezuela as a Special Interest Country, and the importance of securing our borders. Rep. Myrick has also signed on as a co-sponsor of House Resolution 872, which calls for Venezuela to be designated as a state sponsor of terrorism for its support of Iran, Hezbollah, and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC)." [source, Myrick Releases Video On Designating Venezuela As A Special Interest Country, http://myrick.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=22§iontree=21,22&itemid=401]

The danger represented the establishment of a Hezbollah beachhead South of the border, further complicates team Obama's representation that the border is more secure than ever and the corollary claim that illegal immigration is all about poverty stricken Mexicans fleeing to the U.S. in search of work that Americans won't do.

It seems that in its haste to compartmentalize this thoroughly politicized issue, the administration is ignoring the significant national security threat posed by a border which is porous to Islamist operatives funded by one of the world's chief exporters of terrorism, Iran.

Gun Grabber Andy Cuomo Supports Islamist Imam Rauf's Ground Zero Mosque

July 6, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - Andrew Cuomo, the lefty thug behind Bill Clinton's plan to destroy the domestic firearms industry1, wants to be NY governor [actually as long as he remians on the public dole, his official title is of little concern] apparently trolling for Muslim votes.

At question here is the extremely controversial proposal by Imam Abdel Rauf - who refuses to condemn either Hamas or the Muslim Brotherhood - to build a skyscraper mosque next to the site of the 9/11 attack in Manhattan. [see - Why Mayor Bloomberg is Mistaken in his Support of 911 Mosque - Cordoba Initiative]

His opponent, NY State legislator Rick Lazio is on the record against the project.

In a NY Post article Cuomo uses the diversity dodge and multiculturalism to justify his approval of what many see as an affront to the victims of Muslim terrorism, "Attorney General Cuomo said he favored building the mosque, which polls show is opposed by most city residents, including many who say it would be an insult to 9/11 victims..."America is all about diversity and tolerance..." [source, Frederick U. Dicker, Andy, Rival in Mosque Split, NY Post, http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/andy_rivals_in_mosque_split_wMWJlBDZge8yF3sJlYhcRL?listcomments=true]

Lazio on the other hand, "opposes the plan to build the Cordoba mosque across from Ground Zero, and shares the concerns of many over the [proposed mosque's] imam's view that Hamas is not a terrorist organization...Rick views the questions surrounding the overseas sources of funding for this project as a potential security risk." [source, NY Post]

We find it unremarkable that the adamantly anti-Second Amendment Cuomo would support Rauf's scheme to incrementalize the establishment of Shari'a.

1. Cuomo speech while Clinton HUD Secretary, February 16, 2000. "Why? Why the same story over and over and over again? Why? Why do 30,000 people fall victim to gun violence in this country every year? Why? Why does the United States of America have more gun violence then all the other industrial nations combined?...We are talking about sensible gun control...Sensible gun control, not outlawing guns at all. And put safety devices on guns that we already have...Why don't you have the same type of safety device on a gun that you have on a jar of aspirin? Why? Is the industry that strong that it should overcome basic common sense and rationale and basic health and safety? Why? President Clinton has a full agenda on this. This year, a $280 million agenda, more ATF agents, more prosecutors...Sensible gun control..."

Sure Andy...whatever...

Imam Anjem Choudary Warns of Terror Attacks Worse than July 7, 2005

Judge of UK Shari'a Court Declares War on Terror a "War Against Islam and Muslims"

July 6, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - On the eve of the 5th anniversary of the UK's worst case of domestic terrorism - the Muslim bombings which took place on the morning of July 7, 2005, claiming 52 lives - Anjem Choudary, the hate preacher who formerly ran the terror linked Al-Muhajiroun, has warned that if Britain doesn't withdraw its "troops from Muslim countries," and "stop supporting the pirate state of Israel" that even worse attacks will ensue. [source, http://www.anjemchoudary.com]

The four responsible for the 7/7 attack were Hasib Hussain, Mohammad Sidique Khan, Germaine Lindsay and Shehzad Tanweer.

Choudary pointed to a recent study by the Center for Social Cohesion outlining the increasing radicalization of Muslim youth in the UK as evidence that the means to instigate a campaign of home grown terror is firmly in place. The study also closely linked Choudary's Muhajiroun with terrorism.

According to the Center's executive summary:

"Founded in the UK in 1996 by Omar Bakri Mohammed, al-Muhajiroun is also known as al-Ghurabaa, Saviour/Saved Sect, Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’aah and Islam4UK. The group, currently led by Anjem Choudary, calls for the removal of secular regimes and the establishment of an Islamist state in the UK. In January 2010, the Home Office confirmed that al-Muhajiroun is a proscribed organisation, as the group is an alternative name for al-Ghurabaa and Saviour/Saved Sect – groups banned in 2006. Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’aah, also mentioned in this report, was formed in the UK in November 2005 by former leading members of al-Muhajiroun, after that organisation was disbanded in 2004. Like its predecessors, this group calls for the establishment of an Islamist state in the UK. However, after some of its leading members were jailed in 2008, the name is no longer used." [source, http://www.socialcohesion.co.uk/upload

Also mentioned in the study were terrorists allegedly linked to Al-Muhajiroun including Amer Mirza, "...the first member of al-Muhajiroun (a group now proscribed in the UK) to be convicted of Islamism-related terrorism offences. He had attempted to petrol bomb a Territorial Army basein West London," and Iftikhar Ali, "the first person convicted of inciting racial hatred with an Islamic religious text. Ali was distributing al-Muhajiroun leaflets which called for a holy war against Jews."

Given Choudary's track record, his warnings should obviously be of great concern to Brit security officials.
