June 5, 2019 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Democrat Party seems to have found kindred spirit in their effort to unseat the duly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Her name is Dr. Bandy Lee a psychiatrist who is on Yale University’s payroll and the author of a book in which she claims to offer evidence of President Trump’s deteriorating state of mental health.
Ms. Lee has apparently never met, yet alone examined the president.
Regarding diagnosis of mental conditions the Mayo Clinic suggests:
- A physical exam. Your doctor will try to rule out physical problems that could cause your symptoms.
- Lab tests. These may include, for example, a check of your thyroid function or a screening for alcohol and drugs.
- A psychological evaluation. A doctor or mental health provider talks to you about your symptoms, thoughts, feelings and behavior patterns. You may be asked to fill out a questionnaire to help answer these questions. [source, Mental Illness, Diagnosis and Treatment , Mayo Clinic]
Let’s dispense with the subtleties, Dr. Lee is a quack and really should have her license to practice revoked since she is using color of authority to advance a political agenda based upon what should be a very detailed and private medical examination.
So troubling is this matter that the American Psychiatric Association warned its members [January 9, 2018] last year that “remote” diagnosis is an unethical misuse of psychiatry, a “political tool” in the wording of the release.
“Today, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) reiterates its continued and unwavering commitment to the ethical principle known as "The Goldwater Rule." We at the APA call for an end to psychiatrists providing professional opinions in the media about public figures whom they have not examined, whether it be on cable news appearances, books, or in social media. Armchair psychiatry or the use of psychiatry as a political tool is the misuse of psychiatry and is unacceptable and unethical… A proper psychiatric evaluation requires more than a review of television appearances, tweets, and public comments. Psychiatrists are medical doctors; evaluating mental illness is no less thorough than diagnosing diabetes or heart disease. The standards in our profession require review of medical and psychiatric history and records and a complete examination of mental status.” [source, APA Calls for End to 'Armchair' Psychiatry ]
Upon review of Lee’s associations it’s hard not to conclude that she is more “transformational” politician than medical professional; her collaboration with the United Nation’s one-world-government “sustainable future” totalitarian types strongly suggests this.
“She has served as consultant to the World Health Organization Violence and Injury Prevention department, UNESCO, and other United Nations bodies…” [source, Lee bio]

Understandably a past president of the APA called Lee’s stunt a case of “misguided and dangerous morality.”
Even absent an examination of Ms. Lee we are forced to concur.
We attempted to contact Dr. Lee in advance of publishing this article, she has not responded as we go to press.
