Khashoggi Agonistes

January 2, 2019 - San Francisco, CA - - Nearly all of the journo relating to the Khashoggi affair remains - after an altogether too-long period of reflection - so laughably reasoned that it strains credulity to believe that this many scribes could be this dense…but, visibly, they are…orwish to create that illusion.

The first and most important test they fail is that of logic.

Why would the Crown Prince Mohammed bin-Salman [MBS] kill a supposed enemy in a country with which the House of Saud has had a tempestuous relationship reflected in the early 19thcentury Ottoman-Saudi war during which the first Saudi sultanate was destroyed?

This is not to say that Saudi nationals and operatives within the orb of bin-Salman might not have been involved in some sort of rendition gone wrong re Khashoggi, but someone acting in the capacity of the Crown Prince giving the order?

Nope, don’t think so.

Why would MBS undertake such a bizarre operation when Khashoggi - who was never a journo, instead having operated as a Saudi intel asset on and now obviously off for decades - could have been professionally bumped off, as Melanie Phillipssuggests by employing the Chechen mafia which is active in Turkey who could have left no fingerprints…it was a traffic accident, so sorry.

And that is where the matter lies and most likely will die, with good reason.
