National Security Alert: Pakistani Family Caught Up In Congressional Hacking Investigation

March 14, 2017 - San Francisco, CA - - According to a breaking story reported by the Daily Caller, information located on a multiuser House Democrat computer network appears to have been compromised by a Pakistani IT employee [Imran Awan] and members of his family.

“Imran Awan and four of his relatives were employed as information technology (IT) aides by dozens of House Democrats, including members of the intelligence, foreign affairs and homeland security committees.” [Luke Rosiak, House Hacking Suspects Could Read Every Email Dozens Of Congressmen Sent And Received ]

The recently revealed details of the Dem IT leak indicate that the above referenced individuals had what essentially is full-access to the email and other electronic files of former DNC chair, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and “numerous other” representatives.

House Police have opened a criminal probe into the matter and at least one of the defendants, Abid, has allegedly been fired.

Wasserman-Schultz - whose incredibly inept handling of the DNC led to her forced departure - had one of her portable digital devices cracked in a time frame when Imran was known to have had her user name and password.

Incredibly, even after the family had been booted from the Hill, Schultz continued to employ Imran, calling him an “advisor” rather than an employee.

“Imran and his family members, all of whom worked as IT professionals for members of Congress, were banned from the House network Feb. 2, 2017, by the House Sergeant at Arms, but Wasserman Schultz has declined to fire him and circumvented the ban by having him “advise” her office.” [ibid]

Contra the ludicrous but prevailing Democrat cover story regarding the “tell all” hack of the DNC network and subsequent publishing of thousands of pages of embarrassing information, it seems that Schultz herself, certainly not one of Congress’ brighter lights, might plausibly have been the portal whereby the hack took place, not the “Russians” who are apparently now under every bed in DC.

Adding another layer of concern is that the brothers had borrowed and were unable to repay a $100,000 loan from a shady Iraqi, Dr. Ali Al-Attar who has since fled the country and is believed to be tied to Hezbollah,

In another matter, perhaps indicative of this family’s “character,” one of the brothers - Abid Arfan Awan - has been named as a defendant in an unrelated case in which the stepsons are alleged to have limited his stepmother’s access to her husband who is in a local hospital being treated for cancer.

Complainant :

“Samina Galani called DPSC after her step children were denying her access to her husband of 8 years, Muhammad Shah, who is currently hospitalized. Upon arrival Samina indicated that she did not speak English and an Urdu translator with Language Line was used. Samina stated her husband has been in the hospital for several months and she has visited him several times. She stated she was denied access at her last visit. I made contact with my step son, Abid, who responded to location and was obviously upset at the situation. He stated he has full power of attorney over his father and produced an unsigned, undated document as proof. He stated his father is undergoing cancer treatment and Samina is causing more stress upon him and his family. He refused to disclose his father's location. I was further advised that her husband did not want contact with her at this time but was scheduled to return to the house within a week."

Wasserman-Schultz’ behavior is telling and entirely too familiar.

Her complete disregard for normal security measures designed to lessen the possibility of hackers gaining access to state secrets, mirrors her party’s laissez faire attitude towards national security in general.

Fortunately this growing fiasco does provide a “teachable moment.”

When your “vetting” process is so defective that it allows the employment of people [in highly sensitive positions] who in the last 5 years declared a million dollar bankruptcy and additionally were in debt to a suspected member of Hezbollah to the tune of $100k, then you really don’t care about security at all.

This isn’t the type of message we should be sending to members of ISIS and other jihadist groups who are actively engaged in slipping into the country as “refugees.”
