The Red Pope Continues To Push The Unholy Meme Of Uncontrolled Immigration

August 21, 2017 - San Francisco, CA - – We have, on numerous occasions addressed with great concern the increasingly leftist cant of Catholic dogma and in particular the very obvious Marxism of Pope Francis [for example see the monograph, Bitter Harvest: How Marxist “Progressives” Have Infiltrated the American Catholic Church and the 2015 piece, The National Security Implications of a Marxist Pope ]

In the long-form piece - “Bitter Harvest…” - written during the ObamaCare debates, this author noted that the scripturally proscribed heavy lobbying effort by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops [USCCB] in favor of a nationalized healthcare system that absolutely and very clearly encouraged and funded abortion [and other programs previously anathema to Rome] was the grandest effort to date by the Catholic Church to further entangle American citizens in the maw of a centralized, atheistic socialism.

“However, those paying close attention to Church matters noted the ongoing turmoil still being generated by Vatican II, viewing health care advocacy as just the next phase in the transformation of a religion from one in which freedom of choice was elemental, to one in which the limits of personal choice are demarked by government decree and justified by a deliberately skewed interpretation of faith.”

In the 2015 posting, dealing with Francis’ extensive tour of South America and the controversial statements he made along the way we observed that the defining nature of his “faith pronouncements” reeked of collectivism to the point of linking the Western ideal of individualism and liberty with slavery!

“Many people are hoping for a change capable of releasing them from the bondage of individualism and the despondency it spawns.”

It is through statements such as this [and there have been dozens and dozens of other examples] that Francis shows himself to be either an incredibly shallow thinker, apparently unmindful of the most basic aspects of religious philosophy or, and we suspect to be the case, a garden variety Marxist at a loss to reconcile his new-age, secularized Catholicism with 2,000 years of traditional precedent and the post-Reformational foundations of Western thought.

Upon review, even now three years after it occurred, the fact that any Christian prelate, let alone the Pope would reject individualism is mind-bending as absent the right to freely and individually choose one’s path how then logically could an individual be held responsible for his sins?

In a similar vein, upon taking office [under a cloud of controversy caused by the unprecedented forcing out of a sitting Pope - Benedict XVI] it didn’t take Francis very long to identify with millions of military aged Muslim males who have been invading Europe [jihad by hijrah] over the last decade, their “contribution” being terrorism, rape, misery and the social dysfunction borne of Shari’a governed no-go zones.

So while it was not particularly shocking to read that Francis’, Message for the 104th World Day of Migrants and Refugees , was issued today, upon reading the document one nearly gags at the level of condescension and deliberately misleading use of Biblical scripture in support of Francis’ evil thesis that borders are immoral and that the Christian West is obligated to put a bullet through its head.

As is always the case with the Red Pope, he proffers whatever might be his latest proclamation with accompanying scripture that is totally irrelevant to the issue at hand, in the instant case quoting Leviticus 19:34 - “You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”

But in his haste to sanctify that which is truly unholy, Francis ignores Biblical scripture that is far more relevant because it lays bare the Pope’s mendacity.

For example, Francis in quoting Leviticus 19-34, ignores the immediately preceding text, Leviticus 18:24-30 which deals primarily with the laws of personal chastity and the all-encompassing reach of the "hand of the Almighty”

“Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. ‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things - such persons must be cut off from their people.”

The outset of this passage makes clear that “foreigners” must be judged under the same law and bear the same moral responsibilities as do native citizens, they are not to be extended “special rights or favors” which is made even more clear by preceding text that foreigners must fend for themselves even if they must subsist on the rejected grapes of the harvest - Leviticus10 “Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the LORD your God.”

Why are we not surprised when Francis fails to contextualize his intentionally over-broad reliance upon scripture that is inapplicable?

At this point we might ask Francis, since the “law” being discussed is the actually Old Testament Jewish law, does he expect the arriving Muslims to immediately convert so as to be in compliance with the dictates of the Jewish and Christian Lord?

Insert the sound of crickets chirping…

Moving towards a conclusion, perhaps the most relevant verse in the Bible regarding “foreigners” is highly cautionary, Isaiah 1:7 - “Your land is devastated, your cities burned with fire. Right before your eyes your crops are being destroyed by foreign invaders. They leave behind devastation and destruction.”

If Francis’ disingenuous hectoring of “his” flock cannot even withstand the questioning of a layman, how much more difficult would it be for the Pope’s revisionism to stand in the face of a skeptical challenge by a genuine Biblical scholar?

The answer is, of course that a knowledgeable, tradition based Christian or Jewish cleric would have Francis for lunch - though we doubt such a meal would be kosher.
