December 28, 2016 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org – Secretary of State Kerry delivered a bizarre set of remarks today in Washington, DC at the Dean Acheson Auditorium.
The speech closely follows the U.N. Security Council’s December 23 censoring of the Jewish state as being an occupying force within its own country – a measure widely understood to have been engineered by the Obama administration, which also refused to veto it, as had been the case in all such previous efforts. So today’s event had been looked forward to with some level of anticipation on the understanding that the administration might not have been prepared for Israel’s swift and negative reaction to the U.N. censure and thus might use the occasion as part of a fence-mending effort.
If that was the expectation, it was certainly not evident in Kerry’s address which served to add fuel to an already roaring inferno between the two states, with the sanctimonious Kerry making the absurd claim that Israel has a choice, it can either be “democratic” [what that term actually means to this muddle headed administration is subject to considerable debate] or it can be “Jewish.”
“Today, there are a number – there are a similar number of Jews and Palestinians living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. They have a choice. They can choose to live together in one state, or they can separate into two states. But here is a fundamental reality: if the choice is one state, Israel can either be Jewish or democratic – it cannot be both – and it won’t ever really be at peace. Moreover, the Palestinians will never fully realize their vast potential in a homeland of their own with a one-state solution.”
And even more personally attacking the Netanyahu administration, one which Team Obama unsuccessfully attempted to overthrow during Israel’s most recent election, sending a hit team to the country to work with the opposition:
“Now, at the same time, we have to be clear about what is happening in the West Bank. The Israeli prime minister publicly supports a two-state solution, but his current coalition is the most right wing in Israeli history, with an agenda driven by the most extreme elements. The result is that policies of this government, which the prime minister himself just described as “more committed to settlements than any in Israel's history,” are leading in the opposite direction. They're leading towards one state.”
We have ceased trying to explain the why of what passes for enlightened policy by this administration; we do however know that these two paragraphs could just as easily have been written by Abu Mazen or Khaled Mashal that is the level of Jew-hating insanity this increasingly dangerous administration has trotted out this week.
Obama has proven himself to be a truly petty and vengeful man post Hillary’s November 8 fiasco. He feels [and was] personally rejected by an electorate that he must have thought adored him and is now striking out like some piteous beast being sucked ever more deeply into quicksand, incapable of avoiding the inevitable but not going down without causing as much havoc as possible.
