MoveOn Freaking Over Failing “Negotiations” with Iran

November 11, 2013 – San Francisco, CA – – Since we like to keep track of what the enemies of this Republic are up to, we subscribe to various mailing lists, one of which is maintained by the commies at MoveOn.

Given that the current pretend negotiations between Tehran and DC have failed, MoveOn, probably taking a cue from Netanyahu’s combative rebuke of negotiating with the Mullocracy, are worried that Iran might finally be put out of the terrorism business for good by the Israelis’

The negotiations taking place in Geneva fell apart thanks mainly to objections by – of all countries - the French, who are justifiably distrustful of the Iranians, whose penchant for deceit seems boundless.

“…After days of rising expectations, diplomats from six world powers failed in marathon talks with Iran..Foreign ministers, who had hoped for a breakthrough on one of the world's most urgent security challenges, said instead early Sunday that they had been unable in 161/2 hours of talks Saturday to resolve issues raised by France…One wants a deal … but not a sucker's deal," Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister, told a French radio station, France Inter, in an interview early Saturday…” [source, Paul Richter, Six nations fail to reach deal with Iran on nuclear negotiations , LA Times]

So with the war drums moving a bit closer, the MoveOn-ers have grown fearful that their favorite theocratic dictatorship might be threatened and hence the following missive:

“Dear MoveOn member,

A deal on Iran's nuclear program could be announced any day. That's why I started a petition on to President Barack Obama in support of his administration's diplomatic efforts. The petition says:

Dear President Obama: I strongly support diplomacy with Iran. I don't want to see us embroiled in another war in the Middle East. I urge you to continue your current efforts in finding a diplomatic solution.

President Obama is pursuing diplomacy and considering reducing sanctions on Iran. Getting to this point hasn't been an easy road. The President has faced pressure from conservative lobby groups and members of his own party to take a harder line on Iran.

It's crucial for us to visibly support the President to show that the political space to pursue diplomacy with Iran exists. If we can show that diplomacy is met with widespread support—we'll be able to pave the way for success. But if we are silent, conservative lobby groups will frame and undermine the deal.

The diplomatic deal that could be announced at any moment began with a phone call between President Obama and President Rouhani of Iran. Many conservatives in Iran argue that talking to the United States is futile. President Rouhani has bet much of his political capital on these talks.

By creating a strong groundswell of public support for diplomacy, we can stand against another war in the Middle East and also show solidarity with the Iranian people who elected Rouhani with a mandate to improve relations with the United States…

Thank you for your support

[signed] Sara Haghdoosti”

Haghdoosti is a long time supporter of the Mullocracy, working to “free” the country from the current [weak] international sanctions levied by the West.

“...Our objective is to do this by taking away the smaller concerns and barriers that make it harder for organizers to do the transformational work of effecting change inside Iran. We advocate for big picture policy change outside of Iran and help provide services that change makers in Iran need. For example, many change makers in Iran have spoken out against sanctions, highlighting that sanctions have made it harder for them to be effective…” [source, one of Haghdoosti’s web presences]

Laughably, Haghdoosti claims to be a feminist, a word which has no meaning inside Iran since women in that bastion of jihad rank barely above dogs when it comes to rights. So as with the parent organization MoveOn, This twit is simply - at best - Iran’s latest useful idiot.

At worst?

Let’s just say we have suspicions regarding her motives…

So there you have it. One of Team Obama’s true-believer organizations, in this case fronted by an Iranian fellow traveler, seeking to remove the few constraints which lie between Iran’s nuclear intentions and a second Holocaust.

Unfortunately for MoveOn it looks like the recalcitrant French have effectively killed the current “deal.”

Of course no one should have ever believed that these talks were genuine. They took place simply to provide a set piece against which Iranian interests could be advanced; entirely a PR operation.

The real story here is that this administration established back-channel relations with Iran a long time ago at the behest of Barack Hussein Obama.

Remember Saint Hillary’s mysterious bump on the head?

Uhhh…hard landing somewhere near Tehran?

And then there is Valerie Jarrett – born in Shiraz, Iran…

The bottom line:

In direct abrogation of international agreements Obama, through actions which he directed the Treasury Department to take, has unilaterally removed economic sanctions against Iranian front organizations, thus freeing them to continue the jihad.

“…The Obama administration began softening sanctions on Iran after the election of Iran’s new president in June, months before the current round of nuclear talks in Geneva or the historic phone call between the two leaders in September… “For five months, since Rouhani’s election, the United States has offered Iran two major forms of sanctions relief,” Dubowitz [Mark Dubowitz, the executive director of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies] said. “First there’s been a significant slowdown in the pace of designations while the Iranians are proliferating the number of front companies and cutouts to bust sanctions.” [Exclusive: Obama’s Secret Détente, Daily Beast]

So regardless of whether the current spate of talks between the West and Iran reconvene, evaporate or end in sanctimonious recriminations it’s all a side show.

Team Obama is full speed ahead, once again pursuing actions which are manifestly detrimental to U.S. national security interests.
