June 28, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In a late night raid, Afghani terrorists attacked the Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul. The location was chosen as the site for an important upcoming security conference necessitated by plans by Team Obama to withdraw American forces from Afghanistan by 2014, with major cuts coming just before the 2012 presidential election.
The attackers used automatic weapons as well as grenade launchers. Dozens are feared dead.
A report from NPR stated, "The attack occurred the day before a conference was scheduled in Kabul to discuss plans for Afghan security forces to take the lead for securing an increasing number of areas of the country between now and 2014 when international forces are expected to move out of combat roles. Afghans across the country were in the city to attend, though it's not known if any where staying at the Inter-Continental." Many U.S. based national security experts feared that Obama's planned abrupt departure from the war-torn country would produce disastrous results at some point in time.
It appears that time is here.
