Two Arrests Made in Florida Terror Case

September 8, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - - Two Florida men have been arrested in a plot to sell weapons to Palestinian terrorists. The two, Yanny Aguila Urbay and Abdalaziz Aziz Hamayel are residents of Hialeah and had been in contact with an undercover agent after having expressed a desire to obtain hundreds of military type weapons including detonating devices and M-16 rifles.

The plan was supposedly to be funded by parties in the West Bank.

According to the criminal complaint, "Hamayel contacted the confidential source to discuss the weapons and explosives...Hamayel specifically requested a quantity of 300 M-16 rifles, 9 mm handguns, UZI sub-machine guns, silencers and grenades." [source, WSVN,]
