American Jewish Committee Teams up with Hispanic Racialist Group, La Raza

March 11, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - - According to an Israeli news report, a number of Hispanic activists are visiting Israel on a trip sponsored by the American Jewish Committee's Project Interchange.

Some of these guests of the AJC are members of the controversial group La Raza.

The National Council of La Raza [National Council of The Race] is primarily a left-wing organization which advocates Hispanic racial supremacy, undermining counter terrorism efforts in the United States through its advocacy of illegal immigration. The NCLR also has reportedly funded MEChA in the past, a virulently anti-Semitic group which is working towards making the American Southwest into a Hispanic nation - under foreign control.

"Twelve of America's most prominent Latina [Latin American female] leaders are currently visiting Israel for intensive dialogue and briefings...The Project Interchange seminar will run through March 14 and was organized in cooperation with the AJC Latino and Latin American Institute and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR)." Discover the Networks highlights La Raza's radical nature:

"… La Raza supports continued mass Mexican immigration to the United States, and hopes to achieve...the re-partition of the American Southwest as a new state called Aztlan - to be controlled by its alleged rightful owners, the people and government of Mexico…" [source,]

Reflecting the high level of participation by La Raza, one of the participants in the AJC sponsored effort is the CEO of La Raza, Janet Murguia.

According to an investigative article titled 'The Truth About La Raza,'"Key among the secondary organizations is the...Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American recently as 2003, La Raza was actively funding MEChA, according to federal tax records." [source]

In demonstrating the close relationship between La Raza and anti- Semitism, the MEChA connection is ominous.

"MEChA has in the past been associated with anti-Semitic sentiments and groups. A 1998 MEChA youth conference at California Polytechnic State University featured a printed program that introduced the school as "Cal Poly State Jewniversity." The program also referred to New York as "Jew York… MEChA has also been linked to La Voz de Aztlán (The Voice of Aztlan), a Chicano webzine that regularly publishes articles attacking Jews, Zionism, and Israel." The American Jewish Committee has a history of teaming up with sketchy, oft-times anti-American and even anti-Jewish organizations. In a previous piece, Jews for Jihad ? How the American Jewish Committee Aids and Abets Islamists, the organization was singled out for working with radical Islamic groups.

"The AJC's Coalition for Interreligious Learning is also working together with IQRA and the International Educational Foundation - an international source of Wahhabist propaganda which disseminates DVD's such as "Why the West is Coming to Islam," and books like "Sacred Law in Secular Lands" by Abdullah Bin Bayyah - a radical Islamist cleric who is cited as a source of spiritual inspiration by jihadist website..." Despite this record of questionable alliances, as noted on its website, one of the AJC's "key areas of focus" still lists, "combating anti- Semitism and all forms of bigotry," as an important part of its mission statement. [source,]

Such a mandate does not befit the AJC's new working relationship with La Raza, which finds the group once again operating at cross- purposes with legitimate Jewish interests, dispensing undeserved legitimacy to an organization which seeks to radically change the United States, consequently damaging the cause the AJC desires to champion.
