September 14, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The trial of PVV [Partij voor de Vrijheid, i.e., the Freedom Party] leader Geert Wilders for discrimination and inciting hatred is scheduled to begin in Amsterdam on January 20. Calling it "the trial of the century" Wilders says that he intends to organize his defense to force "Islam to be on trial and not me." He told the Telegraaf "That is why I am calling on radical Imams and other idiots as witnesses."

Wilders also stated "It is my opinion that this is a political trial. It is sad that I have to defend myself for political remarks. I hope that freedom of expression wins. I am convinced that this can lead to nothing other than an acquittal." [source, http://www.blikopnieuws.nl/bericht/102557/Wilders_voor_de_rechter.html]

Wilders will be defended by Bram Moszkowicz, a well-known Dutch attorney.

The PVV leader also lambasted president Barack Obama regarding his policy towards Muslims saying he was blinding people to the ongoing Islamization of the West.

"In an interview with the Dutch news website Nu.nl, Wilders likened Obama to the British prime minister Neville Chamberlain who signed the Munich agreement with Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in 1938…'It is a tough comparison, but he is pursuing a dangerous, naive and irresponsible policy,' Wilders said."
