Activists Schedule Rally Protesting Hamas Supporting CAIR Member Of Broward County School Diversity Committee

October 16, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - - Americans Against Hate [AAH] a terrorism watchdog group, will hold a rally on Friday October 17 at 12:30 pm, outside the Broward County School Board to demand the removal Jawhar Sadallah Badran from the School Board's Diversity Committee.

Interviewed by, AAH's chairman Joe Kaufman stated:

"On March 1, 2008, Badran was videotaped stating his support for the terrorist organization Hamas. As well, in an article written for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel dated July 30, 2006, Badran is quoted describing himself as a suicide bomber, 'strapping bombs' to his body and doing 'whatever damage and destruction' he can."

So far the Board has attempted to ignore the issue with Dr. Robert Parks, the School Board member that appointed Badran, having stated that he will allow Badran to finish his term.

Regarding that decision, Mr. Kaufman responded, "Parks also said that Americans Against Hate is being "mean" to Badran for exposing his support for Hamas and his ties to the Hamas-related group, CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relation."

Scheduled to attend the event are Florida State House Majority Leader, Representative Adam Hasner; President of the Counter Terrorism Operations Center, Sam Kharoba; spiritual leader of Ramat Shalom, Andrew Jacobs; spiritual leader of the Worldwide Christian Center, Pastor O'Neal Dozier; co-founder of the Daniel Cantor Wultz Foundation, Tuly Wultz; and Chairman of Americans Against Hate, Joe Kaufman.
