CAIR In Disarray, Longtime Kingpin Parvez Ahmed Resigns

July 8, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - - Parvez Ahmed, a long time member of the Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR, named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the ongoing Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding prosecution] and currently its Board Chairman, today announced his resignation from the organization, citing a variety of concocted reasons including his desire to assist in the "home schooling" of his children.

Ahmed's departure follows a similar high-level resignation by CAIR Florida Director Ahmed Bedier, who stepped down in May.

With CAIR now under serious scrutiny on the legal front and with membership plummeting [see, Report Of CAIR's Shrinking Membership Follows Feds Naming Of Muslim "Civil Rights" Group As Unindicted Co-Conspirator ], Ahmed's resignation may well just be viewed as a tactical retreat - a hudna - by a committed Islamist, aware of the fact that the organization is now widely viewed as a Hamas mouthpiece which has completely lost whatever marginal credibility it once had.

Ahmed will apparently continue his board membership at the Florida chapter of the ACLU, an organization which often supports lawsuits on behalf of Islamists and is known to be working in league with CAIR and other enemies of the West.
