May 17, 2006 - Philadelphia, PA - PipeLineNews.org - In a previous piece entitled Jews for Jihad, How The American Jewish Committee Aids And Abets Islamists, we documented how the AJC's obsession with interfaith and diversity initiatives have made it an organization which seems more concerned with finding common cause with Jihadis than with advancing Jewish causes.
In order to slam the door on even perceived links to Zionism, major American Jewish organizations - embracing multiculturalism at all costs - are now championing even virulently anti-Semitic and pro terrorist groups [the AJC's decade long support for the Bosnian Muslims, for example] and individuals, with the hope reconciling themselves with post modernist thought.
The week-long festivities celebrating the American Jewish Committee 100th anniversary in Washington DC, showcased nothing if not a pathological need for acceptance from the non-Jewish world.
Displaying an attitude of self-loathing and dhimmitude, the AJC's speaker list was peppered with anti-Semites, ex anti-Semites, anti-Zionist Jews, anti-Jewish Israelis and an Hispano-fascist who informed the attendees that he planned to fight against "Jewish domination" of the Los Angeles school district using rhetoric seemingly plucked from the neo-Nazi "Stormfront," website.
Case in point the address by Israeli writer A.B. Yeshoshua, a guest speaker who caused an uproar when he told the audience that, "I am an Israeli and do not consider myself to be a Jew."
Not to be outdone by Jewish expressions of anti-Jewish sentiment, "ex-Muslim" Dutch parliamentarian Ayaan Hirsi Ali - the AJC's "moral courage" awardee who glibly regaled her wealthy Jewish benefactors with the likes of, "I used to hate you, and blamed the Jews for all my misfortune, but the good news is that I don't anymore."
The AJC 100th anniversary week extravaganza wasted millions of dollars in a charade of inclusionary idiocy primarily directed at distancing the organization from any suggestion that it might be?gasp?engaged in the advocacy of Jewish interests.
The event defined the AJC's mandate as one of political correctness and not the legitimate concerns of Judaism.
100 years ago, the organization openly disavowed support for Israel or Zionism because of fears that that they might be accused of dual loyalty. That calculated stance has now evolved into phony interfaith exchange with Muslims and support for Islamist causes, so as not to be accused of being "too Jewish" and parochial in their concerns.
The speakers list for the recent AJC events testifies that to the AJC, "striving for inclusiveness" really means "everyone but Jews." Out of 8 of speakers listed, only one appeared to be Jewish, and several are documented anti-Semites.
Three of the most glaring examples of the AJC's hypocritical stance towards anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism are the inclusion of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, Senator Barak Obama, and LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Annan recently hosted a conference on the hoax phenomenon of Western 'Islamophobia' and was pictured in front of a map of the Middle East in which Israel was non-existent.
In his AJC speech, Annan ignored the Arab world's refusal to accept the existence of Israel [not to mention the U.N's equating of Zionism with racism] perversely maintained that the Jewish state's acceptance at best was conditional - based upon the creation of a Palestinian state, implying that it had no legitimacy of its own as a sovereign state.
Not to be outdone by Annan, Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa, started his speech praising the AJC's stance on civil rights and proceeded to harangue the audience about the failing school system in Los Angeles, which Mr. Villaraigosa is further burdening due to his advocacy of increased illegal immigration.
Villaraigosa is a curious individual to have invited to an AJC event considering that he was a student leader of MEChA - a "Brown power" Hispano-fascist student organization which supports Palestinian suicide bombings, and advocates the creation of a Hispanic republic in the American Southwest, free of the influence of White Europeans and Jews.
