Minuteman Entourage Attacked With Chemical Weapon During San Francisco Speech

August 1, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Jim Gilchrist, Minuteman Project founder, related in an interview with Old Glory Radio today that his entourage was attacked by an assailant, using a chemical weapon during his Wednesday appearance in San Francisco.
Mr. Gilchrist was in the city calling attention to the "sanctuary city" status of San Francisco and the recent murder of three San Francisco citizens at the hands of an AK-47 wielding illegal alien, a member of Central America’s most feared drug gang, MS-13
During the interview, Gilchrist described how one of the radical leftist counter-protesters approached him with a "wild look" in the eye and threw a glass vial at one of the members of his party which then exploded, releasing an unknown chemical agent. Gilchrist added that the weapon detonated on impact, sounding like a muffled gun blast.
The man was quickly detained and arrested by city police and is currently being held on $50,000 dollars bail.
Gavin Newsom has come under increasing criticism for the role he played in San Francisco’s designation as a sanctuary city, which has led to an increase in violent street crime.
