Dutch Jews Under Increasing Attack From Moroccan Muslims

June 28, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNew.org - Jews in Amsterdam have had to resort to meeting in a "hidden synagogue" after a series of anti-Semitic attacks by Moroccan youth on anyone whom they perceive to be Jewish.
According to the Dutch news source Trouw, "The number of violent incidents directed at Jews has increased lately. In the new part of the city Amsterdam-West a hidden synagogue has been started, without any clear Jewish signs. The visitors are also not recognizable as Jewish. Young Dutch Jews are talking about emigration and the situation is so bad that the Simon Wiesenthal Center [An organization which combats anti Semitism] has sent an urgent appeal to the EU Foreign Minister, asking the European Union for help in stopping the attacks. The acting Mayor of Amsterdam has even talked about the possibility of deploying "decoy Jews" to catch the perpetrators saying he will not shy away from using "unorthodox means."
Incredibly, the use of decoy Jews to stop the attacks has been criticized by the Green Left party who say that it amounts to provoking a crime which is illegal under Dutch law.
