Islamist Pressure Groups Including Muslim American Society Complete Shakedown Of Bank Of America
April 13, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Wahhabist Muslim pressure groups have successfully forced Bank of America acquisition Fleet Bank to fund the production of a Da'wa program intended to portray Muslims in a more favorable light as a result of false charges of discrimination.
The spurious complaint against the bank was lodged by the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee of Massachusetts and the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation. (MORE), two notoriously pro-Islamist groups.
The ADC, parent of the Massachusetts state committee urges that American aid be given to the Palestinian Authority's terrorist Hamas government.
"At the same time, led by the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, local Palestinians and other Arab-Americans organized phone and letter-writing campaigns to local members of Congress and the Bush Administration to urge them not to end the assistance." - ADC Website
The Muslim American Society supports the imposition of sharia, or Islamic law in place of the U.S. constitution and has joined with groups like International ANSWER in Marxist denunciations of the United States.
MAS is described by the Chicago Tribune as being an arm of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood.
"In recent months Akef, the international Brotherhood leader, repeatedly has praised Palestinian and Iraqi suicide bombers, called for the destruction of Israel and asserted that the United States has no proof that Al Qaeda was to blame for the Sept. 11 attacks.
In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation's major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members. - A rare look at secretive Brotherhood in America
As Dr. Daniel Pipes observes:
"The universality of Islamic law comes up repeatedly. MAS [Muslim American Society] requires adjunct members to read To Be a Muslim by Fathi Yakun, which states that: "Until the nations of the world have functionally Islamic governments, every individual who is careless or lazy in working for Islam is sinful." Adjunct members also must read Sayyid Qutb's Milestones, which makes jihad a central obligation of Muslims." - The Muslim American Society's Goals
The MAS has also feature numerous radical speakers such as Mazen Mokhtar - a Hamas - supporter at its various events
The charges made by these groups against Bank of American were proven groundless.
Bank of America spokesman Ernesto Anguilla stated:
"In this instance, as in any case of this nature, Fleet followed standard industry practices dictated by federal regulations and guidelines designed to protect institutions and individuals against money laundering, including terrorism,"
Bank of America's official statement went on to state:
"Bank of America Corp. has agreed to resolve allegations by Arab and Muslim groups that the former Fleet Bank discriminated against 15 customers with Arabic names by closing their accounts in 2002 and 2003 over suspicions of terrorism or money laundering...a state investigation found no evidence of discrimination, Bank of America agreed to take steps including paying the state $50,000 to create a brochure and video on consumer finance geared toward Arab-American and Muslim communities."
In case after case American Islamist groups have been successful in gaining access to U.S. corporate coffers despite the fact that their unsupported charges of discrimination against Muslims are never proven.
Of course the Islamists know this and will continue to be driven by similar tactics unless and or until American corporations refuse to be blackmailed.
