Berkeley Code Pink Out-Gunned By Move America Forward Pro-Troop Supporters
February 12, 2008 - Berkeley, CA - PipeLinenews.org - As the nine member Berkeley City Council prepared to decide the fate of the city’s Marine Corp Recruiting Center, Move America Forward - the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization - took to the streets, confronting a rag-tag group of counter culture lefties, including members of Code Pink, a group much in favor with California Democrat legislators.
Starting at 5am conservatives streamed into the notoriously radical city of 100,000, carrying the dual themed but unified message of support for both our military as well as the war against Islamic terror.
As we wrote during the last confrontation between these clashing ideologies, “Sick and tired of Code Pink's constant harassment of the Marine recruiting center on Berkeley's Shattuck Avenue, today Move America Forward landed on the beaches and simply overwhelmed the Pink Panty Waists. The "Progressives" aka Commies, are not only unaccustomed to being challenged on their home turf, they come unglued when confronted by superior numbers. We felt, and tremendously enjoyed their pain."
The basis of today’s exercise in free speech is the decision by the city council to revisit its earlier [January 29] resolution excoriating [6-3 vote] the Marine recruiting center calling it an "uninvited and unwelcome intruders."
That vote has since become the rallying cry among conservatives who are tired of policy being set by tiny communities of aging hippies, goofy Marxists and blame America firsters. The vote also has come to the attention of legislators at the state and national level who have introduced measures to deny Berkeley government funding if it persists in its war of attrition against the Marines.

Who will replace the object of their rage when Mr. Bush retires in a few months?
Do these people want to be taken seriously?
Guess not
Flawed ideology, pretty good banjo
From gangster to Code Pink pawn
Testament to the failure of public education in Berkeley
If it weren't for the anti-war bumper stickers many Berkeley cars would simply fall apart
