 November 28, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - On November 18th the North American Imam Federation held their "Fourth Annual Body Meeting" with the theme, "Towards Improving Imams Professionalism and Community Outreach."
The optimistically titled conference belied its true intent, which was to help Imams further insinuate themselves into the political and social life of the United States, with the goal of eventually abolishing the U.S. Constitution and implementing shari'a - Islamic law.
On hand to help the Imams with advice was Muslim convert Keith Ellison, the newly elected Congressman from Minnesota [who first official action was to snub President Bush's invitation to attend a dinner dedicated to getting acquainted with new congressmen] who spoke on the subject of "Imams and Politics."
The conference contained a dominating presence of hard-core Islamist radicals with Siraj Wahhaj - unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 plot to bomb New York Landmarks and "character witness" for the first WTC convicted bomber, the Blind Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman - and Ashrafuzman Khan who is alleged to have run death squads in the Bangladesh war, in attendance.
Of particular note and also present at this event was Imam Dr. Omar Shahin - who has been linked to fund raising activities for al-Qaeda and Hamas but is best known as the ringleader of a group of six Imams who were forcibly removed recently from a U.S. Airways flight at the St. Paul International Airport in Minnesota for creating a disturbance which involved making anti-American statements, loud praying and shouting "Allah" while boarding the plane.
Once on board they refused to take their assigned seats and in general acted as if they were casing the airliner for security breaches.
As was noted in today's Washington Times:
"That would alarm me," said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. "They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane." A pilot from another airline said: "That behavior has been identified as a terrorist probe in the airline industry."
Ellison's presence at this conclave of Islamists proves the thesis that we advanced on November 5 in Keith Ellison, The Wahhabist Choice For Congress, that he is an unrepentant radical Muslim, who will use his Congressional position to advance the goals of America's enemies.

Quick to create the impression that Iraqi civil strife had spun totally out of control, AP and their cohorts claimed that innocent civilians were being burned to death in the sectarian warfare that has plagued Baghdad and that the city's mosques were exploding in flames.
In fact one mosque was apparently incinerated however the sensational claim made by the Associated Press, of Sunnis being burned to death was fabricated and it seems likely that AP's "police" source is fictitious, another case of forged but true.

November 27, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - 18 year old David Huffman's prankish tap on a Muslimah's hijab recently led to his conviction on battery charges and a sentence of 40 hours of community work to be performed at the Chicago, Illinois office of the Saudi financed, Islamist pressure group CAIR.
With or without her knowledge, Cook County 5th Circuit Court judge Colleen McSweeney Moore's actions in this case neatly worked into the grand plan being advanced by CAIR and other radical Muslim groups who seek to Islamize the United States, force submission to Islam by non-Muslims and ultimately impose Sharia law.
A little checking by Judge Moore would have revealed that the Council on American Islamic Relations is not the civil rights group it masquerades as but is rather a Saudi funded front group for Hamas.
The group is a named defendant in a 9/11 terrorism lawsuit and has seen its members jailed on terror related charges, including CAIR?s former civil rights advisor and communications specialist, a convert named Randall Ismail Royer who is presently serving a 20 year sentence for weapons and explosives charges, [MilitantIslamMonitor.org]
Of further note, Ahmed Rehab, the executive director of the Chicago CAIR office which oversaw Huffman's "sensitivity training" has publicly supported local Hamas operative Muhammed Salah, a Bridgeview Muslim who has been charged in the drive-by shooting of 17 year old David Boim in Israel. Both Rehab and CAIR have been in the forefront of campaigning for Salah's release, claiming that he will not get a fair trial because of "anti-Muslim" bias.
Huffman's case sends a terrifying message and will assuredly be exploited by CAIR and others of its ilk as a template for action against any non-Muslims it may choose to target for this particular form of jihad.
It is even more outrageous that Judge Moore selected the Chicago CAIR office for Huffman's "re-education" as director Rehab was identified as having verbally abused a homeless woman while standing on line at a local Walgreen's, until she fled the store, and then calling out to her, "Good riddance you bitch," [source link - http://arehab.blogspot.com].
The Usual Suspects Leak Another Secret National Security Document, Justice Department Nowhere To Be Seen
November 26, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - At some point the Bush team is going to have to stop blaming the leakers and the publishers of the leaked documents and take responsibility for having such a criminally inept Department of Justice.
Fact, Alberto Gonzalez and George W. Bush are either unable or unwilling to stop the never ending flow of secret reports, studies and other documents that are being used to destroy American national security, as they have already largely scuttled this administration.
The outward migration of state secrets continues without any sense that these folks are seriously interested in having it stopped.
Today's document outing describes the terror financing mechanisms of the Iraq insurgency and was provided by another nameless, faceless member of the embedded foreign policy bureaucracy, a quisling offering as justification that "the findings could improve understanding of the challenges the United States faces in Iraq."
Of course claims of such lofty intent are immediately contradicted a few lines later in the article - "U.S. Finds Iraq Insurgency Has Funds to Sustain Itself" - when the real motive is revealed, promotion of a sense of dread and gloom regarding the war in Iraq:
"The report offers little hope that much can be done? it paints an almost despairing picture of the Iraqi government's ability, or willingness, to take steps to tamp down the insurgency's financing."
This most recent disclosure is part of a torrent that continues with no end in sight, the leak of the National Intelligence Estimate right before the election, the leak of the NSA's al-Qaeda phone intercept program, the leak of the Treasury Department's SWIFT database investigation of bank involvement with terror funding and money laundering, the leak of the CIA's "black site" centers used to interrogate al-Qaeda and other terrorist kingpins.

Holland Nears Vote On Burqa Ban

In the United States, Newsweek reported that the wearing of a hijab [the headscarf] was on the increase among American born Muslima university students. Observant of the high regard the media has for multiculturalism, the magazine then went on to claim that the reason for the donning of Islamic religious garb was "spurred by a desire to express solidarity in the face of 9/11 discrimination" offering the dubious statistics of the Saudi financed Wahhabist mouthpiece CAIR [Council on American Islamic Relations] whose legal advisor, Arsalan Ifhtikar declared that "The hijab is the walking symbol of Islam."
In Holland, Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders' bill banning the burqa is nearing a vote in the legislature and has led to considerable political fallout among the citizens of Europe's most liberal country.
If passed this legislation would be the first of its kind in Europe and Wilders has been careful to expand the justification for the ban to include terror and security issues saying that "people should be identifiable when they walk on the street or go into a pub or a restaurant or whatsoever."
Though Muslim groups and their lefty allies are opposing the ban, claiming that it is antithetical to longstanding Dutch notions of tolerance, the reality is that wearing the burqa has become a symbol of Muslim intolerance, an aggressive manifestation of Islamist intent to resist acculturation.
Why Can't We Save Our Own Country?

What makes the subject all the more perplexing and disturbing is that the solution to the conundrum is blatantly obvious. We now have more people arriving than we possibly need or are able to support?given the benefits upon which they are bestowed upon entry?and enacting serious restrictions or even a fairly liberal annual quota figure could make the problem go away within a generation or two. Yet, regardless of the ease with which it could be solved, our politicians are steadfast in their refusal to help the people; the same people who were duped into electing them in the first place.
Pat Buchanan's new book, State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America, does a better job than any other of illustrating the futility of the current situation. It is a foregone conclusion that no welfare state can embrace open borders for very long and continue to survive. It is only human nature for us to want something for nothing, and any nation dumb enough to make publicly known its "take all comers" masochistic proclivities will quickly become saturated with immigrants?which is exactly what happened to the United States since the 1960s. By winking at illegals and having no real policy with which to separate those we want from those we do not, indigenous labor and earnings are transferred to outsiders as payment for medical bills, education, and welfare. The exponentially rising numbers of new arrivals then provide government with a ready excuse to expand itself and enable it to steal yet more of our earnings in the name of social [in]justice.
In light of the public's growing resentment why do our elites permit this madness continue? Generally, a politician's avoidance of key issues lasts right up until the time they sense they may get thrown out of office, but Buchanan does a masterful job of outlining the way in which political correctness, along with its necessary precondition of white guilt, is the major factor behind our elites' willing complicity in our man-made cultural and economic implosion. White guilt can be defined as the fantastic phenomenon whereby Caucasian Americans, as a result of their being indoctrinated to view slavery and wars of conquest as being unique to western man, are psychological debilitated from taking up their own defense. Of course, feeling guilty about things you haven't personally done is ludicrous, particularly in this case. Foul acts like murder, slavery, and wanton destruction are ubiquitous to humanity, and were committed by peoples all over the world since the beginning of time. That our youth actually buy into this non-sense is a stunning example of just how politicized the field of education has become. Our history has been altered to include a "somebody to blame" link at the bottom of every page, and, due to the despicable machinations of racist radicals, that someone always has a pale face and urinates from the standing position. When these lies about history are combined with the Big Education's reflexive habit of boosting self-esteem for no discernible reason, a lethal combination is derived. Today's Caucasians leave school regarding minorities as pawns for the saving rather than as independently functioning men and women with the same desires as everybody else.

On a lopsided vote of 149-86, Steny Hoyer defeated Pelosi's hand-picked lieutenant and close personal friend [Abscam unindicted co-conspirator] Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania for the position of Majority Leader.
Just 24 hrs previous to the vote, Murtha told MSNBC's Chris Matthews that he had the necessary votes to prevail over Hoyer but as we have come to expect from Mr. Murtha, today's vote revealed the cut and run Democrat's prognostication to be somewhat deficient in the veracity department.
Today's vote must be seen as a multifaceted defeat; rejecting Pelosi's judgment and her authority as party leader. It was also a tacit admission of the damaged goods nature of Murtha's candidacy because of his long association with questionable ethics as well as a bitter personal defeat for him on the issue for which he is most highly regarded among the nut-roots left, advocacy of immediate withdrawal from Iraq.
Hernando County Commission Issues Resolution Praising Saudi Funded Muslim Group [CAIR] And Terror Linked Mosque

Claimed Terror Links Support Hogan In Florida Free Speech Controversy

2. One of the founders and prayer leaders of the Barclay mosque is Imad Tarabishy, who is also a board member and trustee of NAIT.
3. Imad Tarabishy is listed as a director of the Islamic Foundation of the Tampa Area, along with two other directors, both based in Saudi Arabia.
4. According to testimony presented by The Investigative Project at a government hearing, Imad Tarabishy has given $76,000 to Benevolence International Foundation [BIF] a group directly tied to bin-Laden and the Global Relief Foundation a subsidiary of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
5. Imad Tarabishy is also the registered agent in Florida for Bright International Ltd. a "foreign non profit." BIL's director Assadullah Farahmand, heads The Afghanistan Information and Rehabilitation Bureau (Masjid) in Don Mills Ontario, Canada which is connected to Benevolence International and al-Qaeda.
Iraq's Al-Qaeda Leader, Al-Masri Mocks Bush And Republican Defeat While Singling Out Donald Rumsfeld

Culture War Looms Supreme In Election Outcome
November 8, 2006 -San Francisco, CA -PipeLineNews.org - Just a few days ago, on November 1, Roland Weisselberg a 73 year old retired German priest burned himself to death, dousing himself with gasoline and then striking a match.
Weisselberg committed the gruesome suicide as a protest against Germany's increasing submission to the demands of Europe's radical Islamists and the Church's unwillingness to confront the Muslim cultural jihad.
The elder priest's death took place in the historically significant Augustinian monastery in Erfurt Germany where Martin Luther was educated and later ordained and so it seems fitting that Weisselberg's dramatic statement made at the locus of the Reformation should also function as a point of departure in understanding the forces behind yesterday's electoral results.
Taken as a whole yesterday's election was the result of forces which have been shaping Western thought beginning with the post modernist movement and which now seems to have congealed into the unholy trinity of multiculturalism, diversity and moral equivalency.
The confusion resulting from this dance with nihilism has severed ties to tradition and therefore Weisselberg's gesture though fanatical seems almost a reasonable, if not metaphorically rich, response.
The fact is that because of the failure of a substantial number of citizens to understand the dimensions of the clash of civilizations they are taking actions that are making all of us unwilling signatories to a suicide pact.

How a pretend suicide bomber unmasked the true face of moral relativism on campus

 November 7, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The uproar caused by University of Pennsylvania president Amy Gutmann allowing herself to be photographed next to a mock suicide bomber at a Halloween party, may serve to slam the door shut on a career which has just barely begun.
As a result, University of Pennsylvania alumni and outraged members of the community have demanded her ouster.
The images of Gutmann, the Jewish daughter of German Holocaust refugees, masquerading as Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz next to Syrian engineering student Saad Saadi [turned out like a Palestinian "freedom martyr"] are enshrined for posterity in cyberspace, though the pictures and controversy have hit fewer of the nation's news papers than one might reasonably expect.
As disastrous as the photos were, Gutmann did have two strokes of luck - one, so far there has been no video of the party turning up on U Tube which would have shown staged executions at Gutmann's home during the party and two, the calls for her resignation might be muted as the media turns its attention towards the aftermath of the Congressional elections.
The Good Witch and the Suicide Bomber grinning side by her side is a perfect metaphor for the extreme level of moral relativism which infests both liberal Jewish and university intellectuals. If she is not ethically compelled to refuse entry to a suicide bomber [even a representation of one] to her home where she lives with her husband and children, who can legitimately be expected to draw that line in the sand across which evil will not be permitted to tread?

Under the heading "Crime and Safety" Ellison states that, "I have been to too many funerals of young people to be anything but a strong supporter of law enforcement, but I also believe it must be balanced by other factors."
Perhaps by "balance" Ellison was referring to his call for the release of Sara Jane Olsen aka Sister Soliah, a member of the urban guerrilla Symbionese Liberation Army [the group which kidnapped Patty Hearst] who had pled guilty to placing bombs underneath two LAPD police cars .
Or maybe it's Ellison's support of cop killers Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu-Jamal?
Is Ellison's committment to "balance" the root of his agreement with Nation of Islam bigot Joanne Jackson's statement that Jews are, "the most racist white people" or his work with gang-leader Sharif Willis who murdered Minneapolis Police Officer Jerry Haaf?
Balance is really at the heart of the "Keith Mohammed X Ellison" candidacy, since the Minneapolis and national press have studiously avoided any semblance of it, refusing to tell people the honest truth about Mr. Ellison.
If they won't, we certainly will, try this on for size Mr. Ellison.
Ellison was not only a member of Louis Farrakhan's rabidly anti-Semitic Nation of Islam, friendly with people who murdered policemen and those who have been engaged in domestic terrorism but he is the choice of the Saudi Wahhabist lobby in his run for Congress and has actively courted groups with Islamist sympathies, with ties to organizations like Hamas and those who believe that the U.S. Constitution should be replaced with Sharia law.
The one word which is glaringly absent from Ellison's campaign website is "terrorism."
This should not be surprising since Keith X is being financed and endorsed by a group which aids and abets it; the Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR], a Saudi funded front group for Hamas which Middle East scholar Daniel Pipes has characterized as "'moderate' friends of terror."
IAEA & New York Times Hook Up Again On Pre-Election Caper
November 3, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Like clockwork, the UN's meddlesome International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA] led by the blatantly political Egyptian, Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei has once again entered the American electoral process working not so covertly behind the scenes to create a non-controversy which nonetheless sounds scary enough to be exploitable by the New York Times.
That the lefty American media is once again working with and at the behest of ElBaradei to effect U.S. elections is nothing new.
Consider mid-October 2004 - two weeks ahead of a presidential election - when the IAEA floated the specious story of Iraqi nuke technology possibly making its way into the hands of terrorists.
One of the hundreds of newspapers to cover the allegation was the Christian Science Monitor whose October 13, 2004 headline read, "Missing Iraq technology raises alarm - The UN's nuclear watchdog says key equipment has disappeared, heightening concern about proliferation."
Called upon in the CS piece to certify the "seriousness" of this supposed security breach was Jon Wolfsthal, a lefty working unsurprisingly as a "proliferation expert" at the lefty Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
"It's very troubling that any of this stuff should be unprotected, let alone go missing," says Mr. Wolfsthal. "If one of these things went missing in the US, there would be a massive criminal investigation ... and people going to jail."
Yes Wolfie, it was very troubling except for the small complication that this incident never happened. There was never a "there" to this story, never the establishment of a manifest of equipment and or materials having been provably present at location "A" then mysteriously disappearing under the watch of the Coalition.
ACORN - The Indictment Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree
November 3, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The acronym ACORN stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. It's a hard left remnant of the model developed by the notorious communist "organizer" Saul Alinsky in the stockyards of Chicago in the 1930's.
Acorn is really a consortium or a family of organizations [Acorn Housing Corporation, Living Wage Resource Center, Acorn Law on the Web, two lefty FM radio stations KNON and KABF, Project Vote and Activism is Patriotism] that have ties to the Democrat party, corrupt labor unions and ultra-left groups such as MoveOn.org.
Perhaps that is redundant.
Acorn uses a "social justice" theme as justification for it activism [read race and class based socialism] but it is not overtly faith based such as sister groups like PICO which boldly employs a bogus religiosity to similar effect.
Acorn through its 501c3 Project Voter, has a long history of fraudulent voter registration disguised as activism. Over the years they claim to have registered millions of voters often under questionable circumstances.

November 2, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Just in time to absolutely make sure that no one forgets Kerry's comments about American troops in Iraq being ignorant losers, Seymour Hersh - a raving lunatic when he gets behind the lectern - makes a guest appearance, just days before the election.
Great timing Sy?show up just in time to remind everyone of the murderous glee with which the lefty Democrats have attacked the American military over the last 40 or so years.
Hersh's anti-Americanism was again on display Wednesday at McGill University in Montreal where he was quoted as saying, "There has never been an American army as violent and murderous as the one in Iraq."
Hersh, like John Kerry has made a career out of attacking the United States military and in his Montreal speech he stated, "In Vietnam, our soldiers came back and they were reviled as baby killers, in shame and humiliation."
This is a standard of treatment that Hersh personally helped to craft, one which he undoubtedly condones and apparently will also work to apply to the veterans of the war in Iraq.
At one point in his presentation Hersh describe "war crimes" committed by American troops in videos he claims to have seen - most likely carefully staged and then provided to him by the terrorists he seeks to enable.
For those too young to remember who exactly Seymour Hersh was, you might start with his ouster from the New York Times [when they at least had pretensions to having some standards] in 1979 because of his history of unfounded accusations, sloppy reporting and a thuggish approach to dealing with sources.
Pakistan Madrassa Fallout - Patience With Musharraf Government Near End
 November 2, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Quickly falling from the headlines but gaining in importance is the real significance of the Coalition's air strike in the Bajur region of Pakistan, made against the Maulvi Liaquat madrassa - a locally well known hub of pro-Taliban activity in Pakistan's tribal region.
Evidence coming to light in the wake of the attack seems to firmly establish the fact that the madrassas - or religious schools - in these areas function as training centers for radical Islamists, sometimes providing suicide bombers and at other times merely foot soldiers for the Taliban.
As Andrew Cochran of the Counterterrorism Blog states:
"the strike on the Chingai, Pakistan madrassa has punctured the "Madrassa Myth," asserting essentially that observers should know better than to believe that the madrassas run by Islamists - especially in the al-Qaeda/Taliban-dominated North West Frontier Province - are run without affiliation to terrorists."
The India Times is reporting that unnamed security officials,
"displayed to media stills and videos of the early morning training sessions at the destroyed seminary with participants from Swat, Dir, Bajaur and even Afghanistan. The photos taken through infrared camera showed people aged between 20 to 30 carrying out exercises with no weapons. No weapon or arms were shown as being used for training, as tactics of terrorists have been changed and they prepare suicide bombers."
Underlining the belief that Pakistan's government has little interest in pursuing the terrorists in their midst, on Saturday, the eve of the air strike the government released al-Qaeda operatives included Gul Mohammed, a relative of Faqir Mohammed, a pro-Taliban militant leader who is being sought by security agencies for allegedly aiding remnants of the Taliban and al-Qaida.
It is believed that both Ayman Zawahiri al-Qaeda's number two leader and Faqir Mohammed the local Taliban strongman, left the compound only 30 minutes prior to the strike showing the porous nature of Pakistani intelligence, apparently having been tipped off.
Fearing Electoral Advantage Slipping To GOP, Media Now All Too Eager To Put Kerry Matter To Bed
 November 1, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLinenews.org - ABC has proclaimed the matter settled "Kerry Apologizes as 'Stuck in Iraq' Firestorm Rages," as if the networks still control the flow and content of news.
But the controversy is far from over, it rages on not only because of the very real harm that Senator Kerry's troop bashing remarks have caused, but because Mr. Kerry has not - despite opinions to the contrary by the MSM who is acting in the capacity of press agent for the beleaguered Senator - apologized.
He has however authorized his stooges to place a classic example of political double-speak on his website, hoping that it might quell the controversy:
"As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.
I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.
It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don't want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops."
Nothing in the way of a real apology has yet passed the Senator's exceedingly thin lips. Kerry's "apology" is his usual nuanced obfuscation mixed with finger pointing and capped by an inability to state the obvious, that he simply loathes the U.S. military and its current mission.
It is clear from the criticism of dozens of Democrats that Kerry's original statement was no slip of the tongue and his internet statement does not address the key matter involved, which he still claims is misinterpretation.

NY Times' Delusional Take On Kerry Gaffe
November 1, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - John Kerry's ill-considered statement that the 140,000 U.S. troops who are serving in Iraq are there because they are too stupid to have gained admission to Ivy League schools, has become in the fevered prose of NY Times scribblers Adam Nagourney and Jim Rutenberg, a reprehensible attack by President Bush on the left's favorite anti-war warrior whom the authors almost tearfully point out, "is not [sniff...] running for office this year" therefore demonstrating their firm mastery of grade school civics.
"President Bush...attacked Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts over the war in Iraq....But the president seized on what he said were Mr. Kerry's disparaging remarks about the troops - and what Mr. Kerry insisted was a botched joke aimed at Mr. Bush - as he sought to make Mr. Kerry the face of the Democratic Party this fall."
Mr. Kerry has so far not provided illumination as to what the joke might have been, given its leaden punch line but the mere fact that the junior Senator from Massachusetts is hiding behind that explanation is good enough for the Times, whose writers as usual display none of the curiosity or - dare we say - skepticism they might show had the person uttering such prattle been a - gasp - Republican.
It's a better than even money bet that these feckless reporters will not be found in breathless pursuit of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid - or Ted Kennedy's favorite, Osama Obama - asking them to comment on Kerry's statement, his refused apology or if they will distance themselves from such indefensible troop-bashing. Nor is it likely that they will write glowing profile of Democrat candidates who now - McCainlike in their translucence - have banned the scowling and unhinged French Senator from their states or Congressional districts, forbidding him to campaign for them.
This is why it is so appalling unclever that further down in the piece Nagourney and Rutenberg use the occasion of the apparently unprovoked Bush "attack" to weave in the allegation that the GOP is in full revolt over the administration's Iraq policy using as one of their examples Washington State Republican Senate hopeful Mike McGavick - a Rumsfeld basher - who barely commands 30% of the potential vote.
What this is revelatory of is that the MSM has a message, and they will stay on it regardless of where the facts and circumstances might lead anyone less biased.
With the latest circulation figures showing continued hemorrhaging in every major liberal American newspaper one might question the sanity of those who are responsible for the Times' journalistic direction to continue their mad embrace of this flame.
Sleepwalking Dutch Lulled Into Complacency On Terrorism

Resplendent in beard he pontificated that his "conversion" to Islam benefited him in two ways, having "finally found clothes that fit as if tailor made" while nodding his approval of "a belief in which a woman knows her place."
His performance concluded with the sagacious observation, "Allah is the scourge which will conquer Amsterdam, sleep well, good Amsterdammers."
Holland's awakening after van Gogh's brutal killing was short lived, the Dutch since having gone back to sleep, a conclusion which is borne out by surveys that suggest - contrary to the evidence of a continuing Islamist juggernaught in that country - that 20% more people in 2006 than the previous year don't regard terrorism as their first concern, and that 13% more have confidence that the government is doing a good job of fighting terrorism.
Such complacency brings to mind Dr. Daniel Pipes' article "My Gloom-Back to September 10th", in which he wrote that the 9/11 attacks "made me feel more secure...finally the country was focused on issues that had long worried me" but pessimistically concluded that "If there ever was a crisis, it is over. Life is good, security appears adequate...sleep beckons."
Is Zawahiri Dead? - Questions Surround Missile Attack On Terrorist Madrassa In Pakistan
JUST BREAKING - ABC News is now reporting that the Bajur raid was carried out by Coalition forces - AS PREDICTED HERE BY PIPELINENEWS - most likely a U.S. Predator drone. Ayman Zawahiri, the Egyptian born al-Qaeda number 2 in command was apparently the target of the strike. Additionally unconfirmed reports have been circulating that Zawahiri was killed in the raid.
 October 31, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Last evening's missile attack on a terrorist training center in Pakistan's tribal area has prompted inexplicable responses among the MSM.
For example, the Christian Science Monitor's David Montero calls the attack, "a setback to border peace" stating that, "the timing of the strike raises questions about Pakistan's commitment to such deals."
Pakistan's wholesale retreat [accompanied by a release of jailed Taliban terrorists along with their weapons] from Waziristan - the "deal" which Mr. Montero refers to - has resulted in a three-fold increase of Taliban attacks upon neighboring Afghanistan, the border shared by the tribal areas and Afghanistan now resembling a sieve through with al-Qaeda passes at will.
That the airstrike in Khar came early in the morning on the day when an agreement was expected to be signed between the local Bajur tribal leaders and the central Pakistani government is odd however.
One plausible explanation might very well be that the attack was not carried out by the Pakistanis, but rather by Coalition forces whose intention was not only to kill the intended al-Qaeda targets but at the same time to emphatically scuttle another disastrous Pakistani withdrawal agreement similar to that reached with Waziristan.
Assyrian Christian Teen Reportedly Beheaded by Muslim Militants

October 31, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - An Assyrian Christian teenager has reportedly been decapitated while at work.
The Assyrian International News Agency (AINA) reported that according to the Assyrian website www.ankawa.com, a 14-year-old Christian Assyrian boy, Ayad Tariq, from Baqouba, Iraq was beheaded at his work place on Oct. 21.
Ayad Tariq was working his 12-hour shift, maintaining an electric generator, when a group of disguised Muslim insurgents walked in at the beginning of his shift shortly after 6 a.m. and asked him for his ID.
According to another employee who witnessed the events, and who hid when he saw insurgents approach, the insurgents questioned Ayad after seeing that his ID noted he was "Christian." The insurgents asked the boy if he was really a "Christian sinner."
Ayad reportedly replied, "Yes, I am Christian, but I am not a sinner." The insurgents immediately said, "dirty Christian sinner!"
Then they proceeded to each hold one of the boy's limbs, "Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!" while beheading him.
Bush's National Security Advisor Steve Hadley Dispatched To Iraq
October 30, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - WH spokeswoman Dana Perino this morning confirmed that National Security advisor Steve Hadley is visiting Iraq.
"Yes, I can confirm that Mr. Hadley did go to Iraq. This is a long-planned trip to the region. With the President out of town this week, it's a good time for him to go, as part of our ongoing assessments and continued cooperation to get Iraq to be a democratically led country that can govern, sustain and defend itself, and become an ally in the war on terror. I'm not going to provide any other information about his movements, for his security, but we'll keep you updated as appropriate and as we're able to provide more information."
All of this takes place against attempts by the media to establish the story--line that the relationship between the Iraqi government and the Bush administration is breaking down.
Giving some substance to that rumor, on Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki held a 50-minute videoconference with President Bush [apparently held at the behest of Maliki] after which a top advisor to Maliki - and Dawa party legislator - Hassan al-Suneid, claimed that the Prime Minister told U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad that though he was "a friend of the United States," he was "not America's man in Iraq."
Reading between the lines however one must be cognizant of the potential for political gamesmanship in this process.
For instance please note that in June of this year Hassan al-Suneid once again made headlines suggesting that the Iraqi leadership was engaged in talks with terrorist groups including, the 1920 Revolution Brigades, the Mohammed Army, Abtal al-Iraq [Heroes of Iraq], the 9th of April Group, al- Fatah Brigades and the Brigades of the General Command of the Armed Forces.
"I expect that those groups are the same ones that have made contacts with President Talabani, and now they are widening the range of their contacts. Now they are more serious after the announcement of the (reconciliation) plan," al-Suneid told the AP.
Al-Suneid's suggestion that the Iraq government was seeking to bring terrorists into the process of governance provoked considerable heat and light at the time.
This may once again be the case with al-Suneid creating an impression that would be of value to a press seeking to create controversy over Iraq a week before a national election.
Blitzer & CNN Using Talking Points Supplied By Dem Senatorial Campaign Committee
October 30, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The American Spectator is reporting - via an inside CNN source - that Wolf Blitzer was using Democrat talking points submitted directly from the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee in his Friday attack interview of the Vice President's wife, Lynn Cheney.
Mrs. Cheney was nominally invited to appear on Blitzer's "Situation Room" to discuss her new children's book, "Our 50 States: A Family Adventure Across America, co-written by Robin Preiss Glasser, but her near total destruction of Wolf Blitzer's limp attempt to ambush her left the host looking shocked and humiliated.
Blitzer challenged Mrs. Cheney on a wide variety of issues including Virginia's U.S. Senate race, interrogation of terror suspects and the war in Iraq.
Cheney deftly answered the questions that were provided the host by the Democrat party and then mounted a spirited offense challenging the networks airing of al-Qaeda snuff films, asking Blitzer, "Why are you running terrorist propaganda? What is CNN doing running terrorist tape of terrorist shooting Americans?"
Aside from the now in full display lefty bias which is a central controlling factor at CNN, the purpose of Blitzer's ham fisted tactic was to stoke interest in the cable network's pro-Democrat hit-piece, "Where the Right Went Wrong" which is going to be aired just prior to the election.
As the Spectator describes it:
"The series uses original reporting, as well as materials, including statistics and research developed by the DNC, MoveOn.org and the labor-funded 527, Americans Coming Together, though the those sources are never mentioned in the segments."
MSM's Complete Descent Into Lunacy - U.S. Should Partner With Muslim Brotherhood?
October 30, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - CBS seems to be intent upon pushing the Bush administration into partnering with the fanatical Islamist organization the Muslim Brotherhood, while specifically protesting Kamal Helbawy's [the UK's leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and the founder of the Muslim Association of Britain] having recently been denied entrance into the United States.
This all takes place in an op-ed on the CBS website authored by Stephen Glain originally writing for the notoriously lefty "The Nation" magazine.
As CBS sees it [The] WH [Is] On [The] Wrong Side Of [The] Muslim Brotherhood.
In this piece, going so far as to claim that the:
"Brotherhood leaders have been at the vanguard of Egypt's grassroots push for political reform, consistent with the Bush Administration's policy of democratizing the Middle East.
CBS seems calculatedly oblivious to the history of the Brotherhood, overlooking the fact that its early champion - Sayyid Qutb - established [from the inside of an Egyptian jail] the intellectual positions which today fuel the modern radical Islamist movement including al-Qaeda.
While making the lunatic assertion that:
"...the Brotherhood is the closest thing to an established, centrist party in an Arab world that over the years."
One might ask CBS under what definition of centrism was the assassination of Anwar Sadat by the Brotherhood justified?
They might also want to explain why they are advocating entry into the United States by the representative of a group which inspired bin-Laden and hatched both Ayman al-Zawahiri - chief theorist of al-Qaeda - as well as the "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman - the key figure [and currently serving a life term, thank you very much] in the first World Trade Center bombing.
Looking Like A Civil War, Muslim Riots Continue Throughout France
October 30, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - 46 were arrested in the Southern French port city of Marseille on Saturday evening as what are euphemistically described as "immigrant youth" gangs roamed the streets virtually uncontested while tossing Molotov cocktails, looting and torching cars.
In this weekend's flare up nearly 300 vehicles were incinerated and a young woman suffered life threatening burns as the bus she was riding on was fire bombed.
Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy has ordered riot police into the city to protect against further lawlessness, though Marseilles' bus drivers are expressing skepticism at the limited nature of the government's response, refusing to return to work believing conditions are still too unsafe.
Similar violence has flared in other Paris suburbs all of which lends itself to a feeling of dread that last year's street warfare [starting in Clichy-sous-Bois on Oct. 27, 2005 with the accidental electrocution death of two Muslim youths] might well be revisited.
What has largely gone unreported however is that the African & Arab Muslim immigrant neighborhoods in which the violence is originating are considered "no-go" areas by the police and that even under the best of circumstances nearly 100 cars are torched in cities like Marseilles every single night indicating an intractable problem for the society in general.
Dept. Of Defense Chides Media For Misrepresenting Rumsfeld's Comments

Of Defense for Public Affairs charged the newspaper with misrepresentation of Mr. Rumsfelds widely quoted reply to reporters to "back-off" on suggestions that the Iraqi and American governments are in serious conflict over policy issues.
"Your article and the accompanying headline ("Rumsfeld Tells Iraq Critics to "Back Off," - October 26, 2006) said incorrectly that the Secretary's comments in his Thursday press conference were aimed at "detractors" and "critics." In fact, the Secretary was referring specifically to journalists seeking to create a perception of major divisions between the positions of the U.S. and Iraqi governments. Secretary Rumsfeld was not referring to critics of the administration's Iraq policy."

I am going to mark it from October 19, 2006 when the Star-Ledger, New Jersey's largest circulation daily, ran an article, "She's got it covered: Designer seeks to dress the style-conscious Muslim woman" in its feature news section.
"Many Muslim women wear hijab as an expression of the Islamic tradition of modesty," noted the article about a 27-year old American Muslim fashion designer. Born to a Jewish mother and a Catholic father, she had converted to Islam as a student at New York University after she married her husband, a Muslim.
When the media begin to find ways to offer up a positive image of Islam, you know they have probably decided that the game is over and we in the West have lost. The American media is expert at showing the white flag of surrender. They have been trumpeting the end of the world for decades now.

We make so attempt to interpret God or the practice of religion. Alberto Fernandez, Another State Department Disaster In The Karen Hughes Mold

October 23, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The State Department's handling of Middle Eastern affairs and lack of judgment when dealing with radical Islam was only too recently demonstrated when Alberto Fernandez [an Arabic speaker whose title is Director of Public Diplomacy, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. State Department] made the very undiplomatic assertion to the Islamist Al-Jazeera network that "there was much arrogance and stupidity by the United States in Iraq," adding that the US would have to talk with everyone involved except for Al Qaeda, claiming "at the end of the day, sooner or later, we and all those who are concerned with Iraq must sit together in that room or at that table and must discuss and establish some dialogue. This is the only way forward, and, thanks be to God, the Iraqi government is convinced of that."
That a U.S. state department official would use the Muslim religious phrase "praise be to God" [Alhamdulilah] is indicative of the degree to which Gonzalez has gone above and beyond the strict needs of diplomacy, treading very near a self-imposed attitude of dhimmitude especially considering he was speaking to the official mouthpiece of those who seek our defeat in Iraq.
Not surprisingly, Fernandez is a favorite with Al Jazeera whose deputy editor Aderrahim Foukara, gushed, "As far as I am aware, he is the only Arabic speaker from the US government who appears on Al-Jazeera "Sometimes we'll even have him on three or four days in a row."
Another troubling aspect of Fernandez' official conduct is his membership in Middle East Studies Association [MESA] whose anti-Americanism ironically extended to advising their members not to cooperate with the State Department and U.S. government, though it funds the organization.
In 2003 Dr. Daniel Pipes concluded that MESA is:
"Adversarial: Many American scholars are hostile to U.S. national interests. Thus, the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) board has recommended that its members "not seek or accept" U.S. government funded scholarships. In his apparent zeal to develop empathy and kinship among the Islamists he must sometimes deal with, Gonzalez has repeatedly made the mistake of not considering how his associations might be interpreted by them or by others who may well feel that his mere presence might well constitute an official seal of approval.
Study Suggests Intricate Relationship Between Iranian And Iraqi Key Players Complicates War On Terror Calculations

Report Iran's Influence in Iraq, by Kenneth Katzman, updated just a few days ago on September 29, 2006 clearly delineates one of the main challenges in building a stable Iraq - the strong affinity that exists between key Iraqi Shiite political parties, personages, their various militias and one third of the "axis of evil," Iran.
Examination of this document offers much to explain the complexity of the Iraq challenge. It also underlines the paucity in the American press of literate coverage of what is arguably the issue of our times.
The first realization is that the United States' policy up to this point, removal of Saddam accompanied by the process of democratization - empowering of the Shiite majority - is not at all distasteful to Iran.
"Iran's strategy bore fruit with victory by a Shiite Islamist bloc ("United Iraqi Alliance") in the two National Assembly elections in 2005. The UIA bloc, won 128 of the 275 Assembly seats in the December 15, 2005, election. The UIA
includes Iran's primary Shiite Islamist protégés in Iraq ? the Supreme Council for the
Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), the most pro-Iranian of the groups, and the Da'wa
(Islamic Call) party. Also in the UIA bloc is the faction of Moqtada Al Sadr, whose ties
to Iran are nascent. Like his predecessor as Prime Minister, Ibrahim al-Jafari, Nuri al-
Maliki is from the Da'wa Party, although Maliki spent most of his exile in Syria, not Iran.
Most SCIRI leaders spent their years of exile in Iran."

UK Media Biased? - Amazing!

The investigation reveals the not altogether shocking finding that the British Broadcasting Company's attitude - which colors all of its productions and reporting - is anti-White, stridently pro-gay, promotive of multiculturalism and is anti-Christian, pro-Muslim and anti-American.
In typical British understatement a BBC top exec was quoted as saying, "There was widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far."
The study also reveals that such attitudes are present in the organization, from top to bottom, 'Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it.'
The series of meetings during which these matters were discussed were held in September and found a bias so deeply ingrained that the BBC's DC reporter actually had to ask to be helped to identify and then correct the anti-American bias evident in his reporting.

About the incident, LaHood stated that he had no absolute proof of the link between the staffer and the leak but that if, "any classified information was leaked from the committee's minority staff...the implications of such would be dramatic."

As a result, Britain is now facing the consequences of enabling Islamists.
In 2004 the offices of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in Virginia were raided by 50 agents from the FBI and affiliated law enforcement agencies. WAMY's Falls Church Virginia offices had been incorporated in 1992 by Osama bin-Laden's nephew Abdullah.
When the branch moved to Alexandria, VA, Abdullah bin-Laden was listed as president and was so through 2002. Bin-Laden's name continued to appear on WAMY's tax forms until 1998.
WAMY publications have singled out for admiration, terrorists who attacked Israelis. One in particular lists a man who drove 14 bus passengers off a cliff as a member of the "Heroes from Palestine."
According to a Washington Post June 2, 2004 article, a federal affidavit alleges that WAMY has ties to Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group.
After the raid WAMY issued a statement cynically comparing themselves to the YMCA saying their focus was on "youth education, youth development and serving the Muslim community."

October 20, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The British press is reporting that the UK is in mortal danger, targeted by a newly discovered system of terrorist cells organized much like the Boy Scouts.
British security officials counsel that this is not merely idle speculation as some of these underground groups have already been compromised by the UK's counter intelligence services and will soon be facing prosecution.
The cells are typically small and operate autonomously, featuring a leader, a quartermaster - adept at assembling supplies and handling logistics - and a number of volunteers who are pressed into duty as need be.
This type of effort is not unkown within Britain as it closely resembles the successful model once employed by the IRA.
Says BBC correspondent Margaret Gilmore:
"They set up groups a bit like Boy Scouts or Boys' Brigade... totally legitimate. Those who are particularly interested they start giving religious indoctrination. Then those who are very interested they start introducing to political teachings, anti-Western rhetoric. And those who are still interested they then start giving technical training.
"They also start sending them on bonding sessions to things like white-water rafting. You end up with a small team of people - the cell is prepared."
The Guardian UK is reporting:
"Al-Qaida sees the U.K. as a massive opportunity to cause loss of life and embarrassment to the authorities."
In a speech last month to the Labour Party's annual conference, Britain's Home Secretary John Reid called the challenge posed by al-Qaeda terror to be "the now seamless threat," adding "to counter radicalization as a nation, we need not only to tackle the immediate dangers but put in place the concept, doctrine, laws and capabilities for a challenge we expect will last a generation."
Though al-Qaeda's overall effectiveness has been hampered by the Bush administration's vigorous, proactive war against it, Pakistan's recent policy of conceding the tribal areas of the country - namely Waziristan - to al-Qaeda has resulted in bolstering the terror organization in that part of the country who apparently have now turned their attention away from the harder to target United States focusing instead upon developing sympathizers within the UK's huge and increasingly radicalized Pakistani Muslim population, especially that in and around London.

LTTE "Tamil Tigers" and its UK-wide network
October 17, 2006 - London, England - PipeLineNews.org - LTTE was banned in the UK February 28th 2001 and the annual publication of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) London 'Military Balance 2005/2006' referred to emerging links between the LTTE and the Al-Qaeda movement. It was later revealed confidentially by the editors to diplomatic sources that these links were in terms of commercial transactions including trafficking for financial gain and acquisition of technology rather than any ideological linkage. Experts are studying with interest links between the LTTE and Al-Qaeda in its financial, commercial and arms dealings. It is also believed that such links also exist in maritime transactions.
The LTTE, better known as the Tamil Tigers, which is engaged in an armed confrontation with the Sri Lankan Government, was the first terrorist organisation to use suicide bombers against civilian and military targets. It has in the last 23 years assassinated the political leadership in Sri Lanka, killed a former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and been involved in the loss of nearly 60,000 lives of mostly innocent civilians.
On August 21, 2006 a British NHS GP at Forest Primary Care Centre, Hertford Road in Edmonton, Dr Murugesu Vineyagamoorthy and his wife Dr Pushpam were arrested in New York by the FBI for attempting to bribe a US Justice Dept official with $1 million to try to get the LTTE off the list of banned terrorist organisations in the USA. He was further charged with facilitating the purchase of American made missiles and British submarine technology for the LTTE. This arrest according to many observers was an eye-opener to the huge volume of money that is raised through extortion and intimidation from the Tamil diaspora in the UK that is either smuggled into Sri Lanka through human carriers or in the form of weapons purchased in third countries.

Are Minneapolis Taxi Fares Going To Support Al-Qaeda?

October 16, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In a September 19 piece Muslim Taxi Drivers At Minneapolis International Airport Subjecting Fares To Sharia we detailed the controversy surrounding airport taxi drivers who were in growing numbers, refusing to transport passengers whom they suspected of carrying beer, wine or other products containing alcohol, using as their justification that such was contrary to Islamic law.
The program that the Metropolitan Airports Commission had devised to deal with the problem - segregating the taxi fleet into two groups, those willing to take alcohol bearing fares and those who were unwilling and identifying each group by a colored beacon to be placed on the roof of the vehicle - was ultimately rejected under the pressure of a withering outpouring of negative comments from the public and media. This is a positive development, since the airport's "solution" actually represented a capitulation to Muslim strong arm tactics and thus a victory for the radical Islamists whose unstated goal remains the implementation of sharia in America under the guise of multiculturalism.
Largely obscured by the outlandish nature of the cabbie story lies a more sober tale, one that has its origin in a little known and even less discussed aspect of a social experiment being conducted by the U.S. Dept. of State known as the U.S. Refugee Program which found its origin in the Refugee Act of 1980 and the earlier Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, both a reflection of sentiments expressed by the United Nation's High Commission for Refugees' "Refugee Convention."
The idea behind this program is a noble one - as is often the case with these things - granting asylum to significant numbers of foreign nationals - refugees - who have been abused in various ways by circumstances including actions taken by their governments.
As defined by the State Dept., a refugee is one who meets one or more of the following criteria:
has a particularly compelling history of persecution;
is a member of an ethnic or religious group that is considered by the United States to be of "special humanitarian concern" (for some groups, only those with relatives in the United States are eligible); or
is the spouse, unmarried child, or parent of a refugee who has been resettled or is a U.S. permanent resident or an asylee in the United States.
Under this program and especially since 2003, tens-of-thousands of Somalis have migrated to the United States via the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, PRM.
"The total number of Somalis living in the United States is estimated at 150,000, of whom about 40,000 are Somali refugees from the dominant clans. With tens of thousands of Somalis, Minneapolis has the largest Somali community in the United States. Other metropolitan areas with large numbers of Somalis include Columbus, Ohio, New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston, San Diego, Atlanta,

From the preamble of this work:
"For some Muslim refugees, religion is a powerful determining factor in life, while for others it may be less important. This guide presents information on the needs that arise from the practice of Islam, such as the need for an appropriate space for prayer, consideration during the month when fasting is observed (Ramadan), and the need to observe dietary laws. It also outlines behaviors that may arise as responses to the fear that Muslims experience when they encounter anti-Muslim sentiments and actions in the United States."
Such passages though not immediately alarming suggest however a Muslim-centric approach in which accommodation goes but one way and which inculcates in Muslim refugees an expectation of dhimmitude on the part of the host culture.
More to the point, one must wonder what forms of "anti-Muslim sentiments" exist in a nation reaching out to haggard Islamic populations who might reasonably be expected to perish in squalid refugee camps in Somalia absent the intervention of the United States?
Maloof and Shariff's treatise presents a storybook version of Islam in which every potential area of concern is glossed over, such as their handling of jihad, defining it as, "the struggle; refers both to the individual's inner struggle to follow the way of Islam, and the struggle on the side of what is right," and this non-reality based declaration of gender equality, "Islam emphasizes the equality of all people, and, according to the teachings of Islam, men and women are equal in the eyes of God."
Aside from such minor encumbrances, the Somali refugee program is controversial from a number of standpoints...

October 16, 2006 - London, England - PipeLineNews.org - In 2002 the forever victimized Inayat Bungawala claimed in Britain's Sunday Observer newspaper "British Muslims have learned to develop a thick skin to get on in this country. In the late eighties and early nineties they were vilified by the liberal press for their unyielding opposition to Salman Rushdie's deeply offensive novel, The Satanic Verses. Their tormentors today hail from the combined ranks of the far right, government officials who should know better and assorted pro-Israeli columnists."
The sort of man who looks like he could be all too easily bullied (even now as an adult) in any British school playground - Inayat Bunglawala is competent at using the victim soundbite, even when he's blatantly one of the aggressors. Bungawala is officially the media spokesperson for the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).
The Muslim Council of Britain is an Islamist political group claiming to represent Britain's Muslim population (in spite of the fact that over eighty percent of the British Muslim community is Sufi, sees the MCB's stance as non-representative, and steadfastly refuses to mix religion with politics). The MCB was set up (as recently as 1997) to promote co-operation, consensus and unity on Muslim affairs in the UK, to encourage and strengthen all existing efforts being made for the benefit of the Muslim community, to work for a more enlightened appreciation of Islam and Muslims in the wider society (therein lies the first giveaway), to establish a position for the Muslim community within British society that is fair and based on due rights and to work for the eradication of disadvantages and forms of discrimination faced by Muslims (therein lies the second giveaway). Also to foster better community relations and work for the good of society as a whole (and therein lies the irony). However, the Muslim Council of Britain has increasingly been seen as the Al Mujahiroun in suits - working with the British system rather than violently and in its face - to establish the British Islamist Supremacist Caliphate, where non-believers are inferiors.
In late 2005, shortly after 7/7, Inayat Bungawala was controversially (absurdly) selected as one of seven "conveners" for a British Government Home Office task force with responsibilities for tackling extremism among young Muslims...
"Open Access" or Covert Propaganda?

This politicizing of science can be found in the way the United States government spends billions to fund various research programs. One example is the $40 billion spent by the U.S. Global Change Research Program since 1990. For that kind of money one would think something conclusive has been ascertained about "global warming", but if its recent report is any indication, the answer is no...
Fox News Refuses To Run Anti-Clinton Ad
October 15, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Fox News Channel has informed the pro-troop organization, Move America Forward, that they will not accept an ad critical of President Clinton's handling of the war on terrorism, intended for broadcast on their network.
Move America Forward has stated that the network falsely made statements claiming that they had asked for documentation to support the ad, and having failed to received it, rejected the ad.
Move America Forward claims that Fox is misrepresenting the situation and that they did not ask at any time for documentation, otherwise the organization says that it would have gladly provided it, and remains ready to do so:
"Fox News Channel did NOT ask at any time for documentation, otherwise the organization would have been HAPPY to provide it, and stands ready to do so. (Including for example the 9/11 Commission report, recent statements by CIA Bin Laden group agent, Michael Scheuer, and endless news accounts detailing the Clinton administration's actions following several terrorist attacks against United States interests)."
In a recent interview Michael Scheuer - a 22 year CIA veteran - stated:
"Mr. Richard Clarke, Mr. Sandy Berger [and] President Clinton are lying about the opportunities they had to kill Osama bin Laden" adding, "for him [Clinton] to get on television and say to the American people he did all he could is a flat lie, sir."
Fox News' statement to Move America Forward's advertising representative was terse and definitive, "we cannot run the Clinton commercial as there is no way to defend the allegations," apparently slamming the door on any further discussion.
Pelosi & Biden's Policies Would Kill Missile Defense Leaving U.S. Defenseless Against N. Korean Nuke Attack

Was Exiled Muslim Cleric Omar Bakri Involved In London Bombings?

October 9, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - New information is emerging about exiled radical Islamic cleric Omar Bakri Mohammad and his possible involvement with the deadly London bombings. The attacks on July 7 2005 killed 52 innocent people in addition to the four suicide bombers
On recordings made of an Islamic discussion group (held nightly on Paltalk.com), answering a question about whether he was linked to the bombings, Bakri for the first time admitted going to Leeds, where two of the London bombers originated.
He also confirmed that the bombers attended talks given by himself, jailed Islamic cleric Abu Hamza, Abu Qatada and Abdullah el-Faisal (http://moise.sefarad.org/belsef.php/id/322).
However, following his disclosure and presumably aware that he was being monitored, Bakri said just because he traveled to the area was not an admission that he organized the bombings.
He said, "I wished that I was involved in something great work like this. But I wasn't, so they asked me, 'do you condemn what they did?' I said 'no, how dare I could condemn a mujaheed or somebody I believe ... whose footstep (is) in paradise.' "I wish if I am, but to claim something you are not, it is not our characters."
But Bakri again said, "I wish?I was (involved), but (sic) it is not in a case like this. It is not something to be ashamed about it or something to say is bad. It's something so good to be involved in, but Allah never granted this opportunity yet..."
Czech Security Uncovers Muslim Plot To Murder Jews
October 6, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Czech Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev, has revealed the existence of a plot involving plans by radical Muslims to kidnap and murder Jews in Prague.
Speaking on Army Radio Regev stated, "The Foreign Ministry is aware of attempts by Muslim extremist groups to carry out attacks on Israeli representatives and Jewish communities throughout the world and is taking all the necessary steps in order to prevent them."
The plan was to kidnap Jewish diplomats and members of the community, hold them in a local synagogue and then make such unreasonable ransom demands that they could never be met, at which time the Islamists would proceed to murder the Jews in cold blood.
Details of the investigation that led to the discovery of the plot are difficult to come by. Although it is known that the Czech security level was raised two weeks ago it is still not clear if anyone has been arrested or what the status of the investigation might be.
Security forces in Prague are currently on high alert with Jewish institutions and Fuzyne Airport under heavy guard.
Breaking - IED Intercepted In Washington State

October 6, 2006 - Aberdeen WA - PipeLineNews.org - The small bayside community of Aberdeen Wa - pop 16,000 - awoke this morning to reports on local talk radio station KBKW AM - 1450, confirming the discovery of what Capt. Dave Johnson of the Aberdeen Police Department has described as "a modified hand grenade."
In a telephone interview just conducted with PipeLineNews.org, Capt. Johnson stated that an automobile driven by a native American female was subject to a routine traffic stop this morning at approximately 5:00 am. A search of the vehicle revealed a World War II "pineapple" type anti-personnel hand grenade originally inert but later modified into what appeared to be a live improvised explosive device.
The police action occurred near a local shopping center and traffic surrounding the area was rerouted for approximately four hours as State and federal agencies joined in the investigation which is ongoing.
The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms is currently examining the device.
Head Of French Police Union - Michel Thoomis - Islamists Orchestrating A Civil War

"We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists. This is not a question of urban violence any more, it is an intifada, with stones and Molotov cocktails."
This might come as a shock to the typical consumer of news in the United States since the American press adamantly refusing to cover the story in the same manner that they intentionally ignored last year?s November riots until it was impossible to avoid covering the 30 day plus outpouring of rage primarily by young Muslim immigrants in state owned housing projects.
While fully aware of the threat to public order, French governmental authorities at the highest levels have so far denied the police the use of armored vehicles and water cannons, two of the most useful tools to safely disperse large hostile crowds. As a result 14 officers a day, over 2,500 so far this year have been injured in the worsening violence that has seen even simple arrests spiraling out of control into pitched battles with gangs of hostile immigrant youths showering police with Molotov cocktails.
Explosive Foley Development
October 5, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Jordan Edmund, the former U.S. House page whose communications with discraced ex-Congressman Mark Foley are at the center of a widening scandal, has retained the legal services of Stephen Jones, a member of the defense team for Oklahoma City bomber, Timothy McVeigh.
No reason was given at the time for the hire, with Jones simply stating, "I understand the FBI and the House Ethics committee have an interest in the matter ... the allegations concerning U.S. Rep. (Mark) Foley which have surfaced."
The reason may now have been resolved for Mr. Edmund's potential need for an attorney, as Matt Drudge is now reporting that the IM cybersex messages which form the heart of the allegations against Mr. Foley may have been the result of a prank in which the "unwitting Foley" was lured into posting "embarrassing comments" which were later exploited by Democrat operatives.
London Police Surrender To The Islamists, Part II

October 5, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In a September 30 piece London Police Surrender To The Islamists we noted with alarm the London Metropolitan Police Department's headlong rush into a multicultural experiment which has resulted in placing armed Muslims of questionable loyalty on the force.
Unfortunately this effort is already yielding exactly what we had predicted, a policing strategy subservient to the Islamist sub current operative and in ascension within the UK [specifically the decision to submit plans for future terror raids to a Muslim review board] and a force therefore which contains elements who are uncommitted to Western values.
It is not surprising in the least that a member of the Metropolitan Police's Diplomatic Protection Group, Alexander Omar Basha, has now refused to serve on the unit currently guarding London's Israeli Embassy.
Basha is reported to have made his decision based upon his Islamist sympathies, as a protest:
"against the objected to the Israeli bombing campaign against Hizbullah in south Lebanon that caused the deaths of over a 1,000 Muslims." - Muslim police officer excused Israel guard duty, Telegraph UK, October 5, 2006
It is also noted that Basha had participated in "anti-war" demonstrations.
What we see here is a slice of Europe's future if the current atmosphere of moral relativism is not diminished - a police force infiltrated by Islamists, supporters of Hezbollah, harboring religiously based hatred towards the society they live in, armed by the state with Heckler & Koch MP5s and with full authority to use them.
Attempting to defuse the controversy over such a serious breach in security, Dal Babu, spokesman for London's Muslim police union, the Association of Muslim Police intimated that Basha had a right to be perturbed over Israeli action in the Lebanese conflict because it impacted members of his family who are Lebanese:
"This is an issue around the welfare of a particular officer..."
However a former commander of the Flying Squad - John O'Connor - had an entirely different take on the matter, calling the Basha affair:
"the beginning of the end for British policing...The Metropolitan Police are setting a precedent they will come to bitterly regret. Top brass granted his wish, as they were probably frightened of being accused of racism. But what they've done is an insult to the Jewish community."
This is far more serious than an insult to a religious community.
It represents a growing and unchecked threat to the UK's non-Muslim population as well as constituting a process that ultimately will destroy public order and possibly result in police officers finding themselves under physical attack from their "brothers" within the force.
Musharraf's Pakistan Express Going Off The Rails - India Charges ISI With Collusion In Mumbai Bombing
October 1, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In the space of less than a week Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf has taken a huge public relations hit, facing allegations that he is soft on terror and either unwilling or unable to stop Pakistanis who are involved in supporting, planning and carrying out terrorist activities.
On Thursday a British Defense Ministry report was leaked which claimed that Pakistan's intelligence agency [ISI] is aiding both the Taliban and al-Qaeda and suggested that it be disbanded.
On the same day, though many conservatives have poked fun at the MSM glomming on to the story, Musharraf and Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai refused to shake hands at a White House reception underlining the tension between the two heads of state.
At that function Karzai made it clear that he felt Pakistan was aiding both the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Reports have circulated that the Musharraf's government has essentially ceded control of Waziristan to the Taliban.
On Saturday while in the UK Musharraf threatened the Brits:
"You'll be brought down to your knees if Pakistan doesn't co-operate with you...Pakistan is the main ally. If we were not to be with you, you won't manage anything. Let that be clear. And if ISI is not with you, you will fail...you will lose in Afghanistan."
Later, on Saturday Musharraf unapologetically stated that he empathized with London's suicide bombers...
London Police Surrender To The Islamists

 September 30, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - London's Metropolitan Police is no longer a credible arm of law enforcement, having willingly and seemingly gleefully fallen victim to the sort of multicultural insanity running amok throughout Europe.
The Metropolitan Police Department's descent into dhimmitude began two months prior to 9/11, when working with the Association of Muslim Police a decidedly Islamist police union, the force began recruiting hijab-clad officers.
The Muslim Police officers union's goals are to proselytize for Islam [Da'wa] within the force while resisting assimilation, below from their website:
"To assist Muslims in the police service to observe their faith, promote understanding of Islam within the police service and the wider community, provide a forum for all Muslims in the police, support their religious and welfare needs...improving their immediate working environment and retaining them in the service, To assist in the recruitment and retention of Muslim staff."
Note that in this manifest there is no mention, recognition or committment to what are normally thought to be the primary goals of law enforcement and certainly no mention of helping to protect the UK from further terrorist activity.
The initiative which was announced at a conference "Protect and Respect - Everybody's Benefit" which for the first time allowed for the women recruits to wear headscarves and ankle length gowns. Additionally, Muslim cops will now be allowed to pray on duty, demand halal food and have altered meal schedules during the month of Ramadan.
Four years later, the 300 Muslim officers were not enough for the Metropolitan Police Chief Ian Blair, who stated that, "more Muslim police officers were needed in London to reflect the city's population" and that he wanted "as many as he could get."
Blair has spoken in support for restraining the number of stops and searches among the city's 700,000 Muslims to "less then 10 times per day." This number still deemed too high among the radicalized population.
Ostensibly the idea of having more Muslim police, would mean that they would be used to handle cases involving their own community. However it seems clear that the true purpose of the constant agitation for more Muslim officers would simply create an even larger interior lobby within the force which will question nearly every confrontation between Muslims and the non-Islamic community...

In Harms' Way, German Opera Company Cancels Idomeneo Over Fear Of Offending Muslims
September 28, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Proving that intellectual discourse in Europe is dead by its own hand, Kirsten Harms, the director of Berlin's Deutsche Oper has cancelled what has become a controversial production of Mozart's opera Idomeneo.
The opera is set in Crete at the time of the Trojan war and centers upon the relationship between the gods of the time and man.
In the halted production, the concluding act of the opera - originally king Idomeneo declaring peace - was modified [appalingly] by director Hans Neuenfels to instead depict Idomeneo placing the bloody severed heads of Poseidon, Buddha, Jesus Christ and Mohammed on display, a move designed to extend Nietzsche's theme of God is dead to one of "man has killed God."
There are at least three stories here.
The first is one of Europe's willingness to place itself in an intellectual straightjacket rather than possibly offend a growing and aggressive Islamist minority linked to numerous acts of terrorism.
The moral capitulation in evidence here reeks, and is displayed nearly every day in Europe's mad headlong rush to oblivion.
The second is the post modernist requirement to reflexively demean religion in the name of art. If the reference here to Islam had not been included there would simply be no controversy whatsoever.
The third angle working here is one of moral relativism, placing Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and pagan Greek beliefs all on the same moral plane, albeit a rather low one. Of course one can't reasonably expect Germany's nihilistic dominant culture to make value judgment's regarding competing ethical systems.
While this may seem a minor controversy to some, it is in abstraction wholly illustrative of the rot eating at the West - alluded to by Pope Benedict in his University of Regensburg address - and why radical Islam looms as such a threat.
Germany Continues On The Downward Spiral Towards Dhimmitude

Barely a year after the Brits formed the UK "taskforce" in response to the 7/7 bombings - itself suggestive of the belief that the UK must have done something to precipitate such bad feelings among Muslims - the wheels have fallen off the project.
The task force, designed to "combat extremism in their [Muslim] communities" - recruited radical Islamist groups of all stripes.
One taskforce member, the Muslim Council of Britain is represented by its leader Abdul Bari who took the occasion only days ago to threaten that there were 2 million Muslims potential terrorists in the UK, who were becoming increasingly angry at the government and then elaborating that 700,000 of them were based in London...
The Virginia Senate Campaign Controversy, James Webb - In His Own Words
September 27, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Democrat media operatives - Salon magazine and writer Michael Scherer in this case - have descended like vultures upon the George Allen Senate campaign in Virginia adapting a Johnnie Cochran-like n-word offensive against the candidate in what is proving to be a supremely pivotal race the closer we get to November 7.
The charge is that Allen used the racially insensitive word twenty five years ago when he attended college, the person making the charge is a North Carolina radiologist and Allen has denied it.
As has been the case with similar charges used in the recent past, this one plays into what constitutes dogma among liberal journalists, that the GOP is a racist entity. This belief is considered unchallengeable by them, despite the fact that the Republican party freed the slaves and was responsible for passing the Civil Rights Act of 1965 against tremendous Democrat opposition including a protest walkout in the Senate by people like Albert Gore Jr's father and William Jefferson Clinton's benefactor J. William Fulbright.
This belief also stands in stark contrast to the fact that the central players in Southern racism were all Democrats and that Senator Robert J. Byrd - a Ku Klux Klan recruiter - remains a revered figure on the left.
In the spirit of fair-play we feel that Mr. Allen's opponent, James Webb be subject to a similar level of scrutiny regarding the use of the taboo racial epithet.
Webb has as much as admitted the use of the word, of course while slandering the entire population of the South, "I don't think that there's anyone who grew up around the South that hasn't had the word pass through their lips at one time or another in their life."
However Webb has committed his use of the word, and innumerable other damning racial epithets - proscribed for members of the GOP only - such as gooks, hebes, spooks and Japs to prose in at least one of the novels, "Fields of Fire," that we have briefly examined.

My once-brilliant brother is permanently brain-damaged from it. In just one year, 50 out of 500 children in the school that my husband and I help sponsor died from malaria.
This terrible disease infects 12 million Ugandans and kills up to 100,000 of our people every year. Even at only US $1,000 per life (and surely our lives are worth far more than that), this means a loss of US $100-million (180 billion Ugandan shillings), every year. In National Intelligence Estimate Iraq War Study Leak, MSM Comes Up Empty Handed Again
September 25, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - First, starting with the obvious, the information being proffered by the NY Times and Washpost in their latest expose as being representative of the findings made within the NIE's 30 page April study on Iraq wasn't aired absent political purpose just six weeks out from a national election and at a time that finds Dem hopes for capturing either the House or Senate fading fast.
As such it is compromised by the weight of obvious bias right out of the gate but that aside what is particularly striking about the allegations is that no significant content from the still classified study titled, "Trends in Global Terrorism: Implications for the United States" has been offered to back up the MSM's assertions regarding it. Generally one would expect such heavy breathing to be accompanied by substantial portions of the referenced document to be offered as proof that such a level of high excitement was justifiable, but this has not been the case.
The leakers - apparently a dozen or so lefty tattlers who of course refuse to be identified because they are, after all engaged in the criminal act of disclosing classified information - maintain that the main conclusion of the NIE study holds that the war in Iraq has made terrorism worse, however they provide nothing in the way of certification for such claims aside from vague characterizations.
Nothing has been offered by way of proof here...nada. And this is aside from arguing the merits of such a contention itself, had it been the centermost point in the NIE study.
The operative process going on here leaves three degrees of separation between fact and the conjecture regarding it.
There is the report itself, still highly classified and still beyond general access, then there is the representation of what that report says made by people unwilling to identify themselves [who are part of a class of operatives that have repeatedly attempted to malign the war on terror and the Bush administration] and who having obvious axes to grind and finally, there is the representation of what politically motivated leftist media operatives say those sources too timid to reveal themselves or the report itself have told them.
Evaluated on its merits, such "evidence" would rightly be tossed out of Judge Judy's court let alone be considered sufficient basis upon which to assess national strategic considerations. Muslim Council Of Britain Chief - Bari - Issues Ominous Terror Threat

Mounting a public relations offensive, Bari is portraying Muslims as the victims of discrimination and blaming the police for causing terrorism.
Feeling emboldened by the UK's inability and unwillingness to crack down on radical Islamic activity, Britain's largest Muslim organization, is beginning to sound like Al Muhajiroun, the group which praised the 9/11 hijackers as "the magnificent 19" and whose leader Omar Bakri Mohammed, fled to Lebanon last year in aftermath of the London bombings which involved adherents of his group.
Britain's Telegraph Uk documented Bari's threat on September 9.
"Some police officers and sections of the media are demonising Muslims, treating them as if they are all terrorists, and that encourages other people to do the same. If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists, 700,000 of them in London. "If you attack a whole community, it becomes despondent and aggressive," he added.
Abdul Bari's overt threat, as head of one of the leading UK Muslim organizations is not the first time that his group has threatened violence. After the arrest of two Muslim brothers suspected of a chemical terror plot , he told the media that Muslims were very angry and could become violent, warning:
"Trust could break down if things are not clarified, said Abdul Bari the secretary general of Britain's largest Muslim organization. "Angry people can do anything ,angry people can even feel they should take the law into their own hands?"
Muslim Outrage Grows In London

"These fanatics are looking to groom and brainwash children, including your children, for suicide bombings, grooming them to kill themselves in order to murder others," he said.
As Reid was starting to speak, up popped one of Britain's best-known radical preachers themselves from the back of the crowd, named Abu Izzadeen, also known as Omar or Trevor Brooks. (Mr Brooks is a leader of the now banned Al Ghurabaa, an offshoot of the terrorist entity Al Mujahiroun - a man who regularly glorifies terrorism and incites racial hatred during nightly rants to other radicals, often using the nom de plume Abu Baraa, on a New-York based chatroom service).
Brooks heckled Reid, making clear that he was "furious" with "state terrorism by British police" - having the gall to say, in the British capital, that Reid was not welcome "here on Muslim land" - before he was bundled out of the hall in which Reid was speaking.
Cameras flashed as journalists present realised that here was a radical Islamist face to face with the British Home Secretary. "How could this have happened?" was the question on everyone's lips. Britain seemed, just for a while, to have gone quite mad...
Bin Laden Dead?

President Chirac when confronted about the matter refused to confirm it and then launched an investigation into the origin of the leak that was its source.
The last evidence that bin-Laden was alive took place on June 29 when al-Qaida released an audio tape documenting the terror leader eulogizing Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq who had been killed in a U.S. airstrike on June 7.
Chirac addressed the matter at a news conference attended by Russian President Puting and German Chancellor Merkl who had been visiting the country as part of a summit.
Associated Press is reporting that a French defense minister stated, "The information diffused this morning by the l'Est Republicain newspaper concerning the possible death of Osama bin Laden cannot be confirmed."
Basic Facts About The ACLU

Roger Baldwin was a communist, he founded the ACLU.

Baldwin was proud that he was aiding a domestic terror operation that was responsible for killing scores and wounding hundreds of Americans, "I don't regret being a part of the communist tactic which increased the effectiveness of a good cause."
Let's be honest here, the ACLU was created in 1920 to defend revolutionaries, communists and anarchists who had immigrated from Europe to the U.S.
The United States was a very turbulent place in the late 1910s and early 1920s.
There were a series of bombings carried out by the revolutionary socialists which included two attacks on Mitchel Palmer, the Attorney General of the United States under President Woodrow Wilson.
That was a full frontal assault, an act of war directed against America.
One of these bombs was placed right on the porch of Mr. Palmer's home. It went off early killing the bomber, but destroying the Attorney General's residence.
There was a huge bomb detonated on Wall Street in May of 1919 that killed 33 people. The bomb itself consisted of 100 lbs of dynamite and was placed there by revolutionaries.
The liberals now refer to this period in American history - diminutively - as the Red Scare as if there was no threat, which is utter rubbish.
All of this radical activity led to the "Palmer Raids" which netted hundreds of bad guys, many of whom were deported from the U.S.
This is the basic history of the origins of ACLU.

Muslim Taxi Drivers At Minneapolis International Airport Subjecting Fares To Sharia

Recent changes at the terminal have proved a boon for the drivers, forcing passengers to use the ubiquitous taxis to get around within the confines of the airport making them ripe for exploitation.
Another angle is that such discrimination by Muslim drivers might make it possible for them to weed out the low fare inter-terminal travelers from those wishing to travel outbound at substantially higher fees, thus assigning themselves all the longer distance fares while the infidels are taking the short ones

Oriana Fallaci Remembered
Editor's note: The passing last week of Ms. Fallaci [77] was ignored by much of the MSM, no small surprise since Fallaci's evisceration of Islam had earned her the enmity of the multicultural elites who decide what does and does not constitute news.
For those of you unfamiliar with Fallaci's work, one might start with "The Rage And The Pride," which though poorly translated [Fallaci's fault, since she took that task upon herself] emanates an inner wisdom that even her less than precise use of English can not daunt.

Everybody can see, read and hear how Americans ridicule themselves; they do so on film, radio and TV, on the Internet and in newspapers. It's being done by writers, artists, actors and stand-up comedians, by Jews, blacks, whites and latino's. Making fun of America seems to be America's national pastime.
In a way America seems to be one big party and we only want to be part of the fun.
Europeans don't really have this kind hobby. Almost nobody here makes fun of this continent and our many unusual habits, corrupt politicians and insane celebrities, even though we've got plenty. We might laugh about others, but very seldom about ourselves - the Brits being some sort of exception. Of course, there doesn't appear to be much to make fun of here in Europe. That which binds us - our history - is too depressing and that which should connect us - the European Union - is too boring. As a result, Europeans might come to the conclusion that they are perfectly normal. Nobody tells us that Europe can also be a very odd place to live...
Laffey Flames Out In Rhode Island Primary, Leaving RINO Chafee The Winner

Judged from outward appearances van Gogh's life was chaotic, he pitched and swayed, swirling from project to project - actor, director, polemicist, bon-vivant...a libertine. The only constant being a whet-honed sense of outrage that both served and encumbered him.
This period in his life was no different.
The air was cold, as early November mornings in Holland can be and Theo was rushing off to the studio to finish work on what would be his twenty-fifth film, "6/5" which chronicled the assassination of Dutch MP Pim Fortuyn two years earlier, on May 6.
But Van Gogh was not the only one in transit that morning; the Netherlands and in a larger sense all of Europe were trailing behind him, drawn along in his wake - a retinue.
The United States was in motion too, it was election day, the contest having already been derisively and superficially prejudged by Holland's Telegraaf as "a modern-day crusade, with democracy as its sacred mission...with divine providence on America's side," and then darkly intoning "The growing role and influence of faith in the election campaign has been a source of concern."
Concern by whom and of what sort?
Concern can assume many forms. It can be the substance of nurture whereby the young are guided, or be mocking and dismissive, a mentality in which America looms as Jesusland.

Stories of Prior Knowledge of 9/11 More Than Urban Legend

The boy, a 14-year-old Palestinian, seemed captivated as he stared out the window across Brooklyn toward the lower downtown area of Manhattan.
"Do you see those two buildings?" he asked while pointing toward the World Trade Center. "They won't be standing there next week." It was noon, Sept. 6, 2001.
Antoinette DiLorenzo didn't take her student's comment all too seriously. Of course the twin towers would be there next week, she assured him. The student shook his head and reiterated his prediction until his 15-year old brother, a sophomore, elbowed him and told him to be quiet. "He's just kidding," the older boy said politely.
Five days later at 8:45 a.m., DiLorenzo heard a loud explosion from the north. Thunderstruck, she turned to the window and eventually watched both towers collapse into shattered glass and crumpled steel.
Many people believed this story was nothing more than an urban legend when they first heard it. Everyone has heard similar stories in the wake of such a disaster. Despite the almost unbelievable circumstances of the story, I was able to confirm it last October while working as a crime reporter for the Journal News, a New York-based Gannett newspaper. Catie Marshall, a spokeswoman for the New York City Board of Education, confirmed that school officials reported the incident to police and that the matter since had been taken over by the FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force [FBI-JTTF].
Radical Islamic Group Advocates Execution for Islamic Defectors

That despite a promised ban on the group by British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Aug. 2005 after the 7/7 terrorist attacks on London.
Hizb ut Tahrir, which claims its international headquarters in London, has far-reaching and radical aims.
Group members would like to reestablish Islamic rule throughout the Muslim world, an idea inspired by the medieval Arabic caliphate, which ruled, in part, from Saudi Arabia to southern Spain. Though Hizb ut Tahrir has come under closer inspection by the British government, its activities have not yet been banned. However, it appears that may be changing with new evidence about the group coming to light.
Hizb ut Tahrir has been undertaking a massive recruitment drive in the U.K., regularly launching or hijacking political issues (for example the "Stop Islamophobia" campaign at British universities), then stepping aside from these campaigns once a sufficient recruitment pool has been created from which it can draw recruits. Hizb ut Tahrir's recruits are generally young.
These recruits then go through a cult-like induction process whereby they agree as the true chosen Muslims to work towards Hizb ut Tahrir's goals of Islamic rule. Hizb ut Tahrir won't say about how many recruits it has, but based on the attendance of some of its events, the number is 8,000-plus in Britain alone (perhaps as many as 100,000 worldwide).

I voted against adopting the reports, and our Additional Views highlight the partisan nature of this report and clarify that what the Democrats allege is not true."
Truth has zero bearing on what gets published by the MSM these days and the report itself goes out of its way to maintain that the findings do not reflect a, "'fully researched, coordinated and approved position' on the postwar reporting on the former regime's links to al-Qa'ida."...

September 7, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Clintonistas are coming....in a panic borne of the necessity - to dispel the truth regarding how the Clinton administration failed on numerous occasions to apprehend or kill bin-Laden - the Clintonistas and Democrat party hacks like Richard Ben-Veniste alike are rising en-masse in a last ditch attempt to censor ABC's upcoming 6 hour docudrama "The Path To 9/11."
Clinton representatives drafted a four page letter to Disney Chair Michael Iger - ABC's parent company - demanding the film be censored or barring that its suppression.
"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has the duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely..."
Ben Veniste attended an August screening of the film at the National Press Club and reportedly was so upset by the portrayal of Clinton as more intent on diddling Monica Lewinsky than dealing with bin-Laden that he got in the face of writer/producer Cyrus Nowrasteh and Gov. Thomas H. Kean [chair of the 9/11 Commission and a consultant on the project].
ABC - so far anyway - seems intent on sticking to its plan to air the now controversial film on Sunday and Monday evening, September 10th & 11th - the fifth anniversary of the attack.
"The Path to 9/11 is a dramatization, not a documentary, drawn from a variety of sources, including the 9/11 commission report, other published materials and from personal interviews."The events that lead to 9/11 originally sparked great debate, so it's not surprising that a movie surrounding those events has revived the debate. Whether the film makes it to television relatively intact remains to be seen at this point. Ominously ABC has said that it is still being edited just days ahead of its slated debut.
The Clintonista's strong arm tactics with ABC speaks volumes regarding how fragile the Clinton legacy actually is with a singular event threatening to sink his carefully crafted legacy of deceit.

If anyone doubts the inherent Stalinism of the nutroots kiddies whom Harry Reid and Rahm Emanuel bend over to accommodate, one only needs to contemplate their intent to block internet access to anything but their own twisted version of "The Path to 9/11" via what they are calling a Google-bomb.
A Google-bomb - in theory only because it seems to us that the folks at Google should be able to program their algorithm's around such obvious fakery - consists of flooding the internet with thousand or even millions of cloned web pages to enforce the party line content on this whole sickening affair via manipulating key word functions and therefore their ranking order in search engines.
If there is anything that pisses off the higher ups at Google it is intentionally attempting to manipulate how the internet's most used search engine works, and the little despots in training at the lefty blogs might very well get a very rude awakening if and when they attempt this stunt.
