Increasing Obama National Security Malfeasance - Plans to Drop Profiling of Middle East Air Travelers
April 3, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Despite the fact that all significant terrorism since at least 9/11 has occurred at the hands of Muslims hailing from a limited number of countries, the administration has apparently dropped its hastily employed, recent policy of providing additional security screening to this targeted demographic at American airports.
According to a report carried in the Washington Post [see, U.S. Changing the Way Air Travelers are Screened, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/02/AR2010040204131_pf.html] the decision was made ostensibly by DHS chief Napolitano [a clueless amateur, who also feels that conservative American Christians pose a significant domestic terror threat] to drop the newly established heightened screening rules.
"The Obama administration is abandoning its policy of using nationality alone to determine which U.S.-bound international air travelers should be subject to additional screening..."
The new policy is of such a sensitive nature that officials were unwilling to go on the record - always a telltale sign.
A curious aspect attending the breaking of this story is its publication on Friday, the day traditionally thought of as "black hole day" in which even important items simply fall off the radar in the blur of weekend developments and decreased reader attention.
One might ask the question why would a major news organization broach such a major piece on a day when it was guaranteed to receive the least attention unless the information was placed - an official leak - designed to get the news out there in the least damaging way, courtesy of fellow travelers.
Given the unenviable track record of cheerleading by the Obama adoring MSM, answering that question is even easier than it appears.
